Description

#1 New York Times bestselling author Johanna Lindsey brings her “signature blend of witty writing, charmingly unique characters, and a sexy love story” (Booklist) to the tempestuous tale of a woman whose furious thirst for revenge leads to a confrontation with the handsome pirate who abducted her—and sparks a much steamier kind of desire.

For the first time, James Malory and his in-laws agree on something: it’s payback time for the culprit who kidnapped James and Georgina’s beloved daughter Jack from her debutante party and whisked her away to the Caribbean. James has finally figured out who masterminded the dastardly plot and is leading a fleet of ships to the West Indies to deliver some Malory-style retribution.

More interested in revenge than in finding a husband, Jack is furious that her father left her behind. So she decides to track down her abductor herself, but as Jack re-engages in a battle of wills with him, she realizes that he is no ordinary pirate. In fact, he may not a pirate at all, but a nobleman determined to settle a score that dates back to the days when her father was known as Captain Hawk—and what endangers her most is the increasingly passionate attraction they feel for each other.

Love J.L. books especially the original Mallory stories. But everyone kept creeping up on the children’s stories again and again it’s like a bad re-runs. Enough with James and Anthony already they had their own stories and been in almost, if not all the other younger generations. Please J.L. if you do another Mallory spin off we don’t need to read again all the all the members of the family. Ugh enough already.

This series continues to enthrall. Page turner that you just can’t turn down is an understatement, full of wit and fun. Not just likable but lovable characters all.

I am so in love with the Malory family and this book doesn't disappoint. I wish the family was bigger so that I can read more about them.
  • Was this written by a 13 year old?

Between the rampant amount of exclamation marks and the 3-second love scenes, it makes you wonder. Boring, drawn-out plot, and a heroine who only knows two emotions. Either J.L. has a terrible ghostwriter, or she needs to hire a better editor stat. Perhaps that was the magic of her earlier books?

The anticipation made me crazy! Enjoyed the book immensely. I read this book in a day. Love Family and this is my favorite historically romantic Family! The comedy was spot on and although some parts of the drama were predictable, still loved it! This book left me wanting more of my fav Family! Having said that, can't wait to read how Brandon Malory gets his Duchess! ...IAMPUNY...
