Description

“You will not sleep until you are finished with AGENT ZERO. A superb job creating a set of characters who are fully developed and very much enjoyable. The description of the action scenes transport us into a reality that is almost like sitting in a movie theater with surround sound and 3D (it would make an incredible Hollywood movie). I can hardly wait for the sequel.”
--Roberto Mattos, Books and Movie Reviews

In TRAPPING ZERO (Book #4), a terrorist cell in the Mideast gains a new, fanatic leader, one intent on orchestrating what would be the deadliest attack on American soil. Can Agent Zero uncover the plot and stop him in time?

Although Agent Zero’s daughters are home safely, the mental anguish from their experience weighs heavy on their small family. Zero, working to be a good father and to repair the damage, decides the time has come to undergo surgery to regain all of his memories. But will it work?

In the midst of it all, he is again thrust into the line of duty as a U.S. embassy is destroyed in the Mideast and as an experimental new weapon is uncovered. But without his memories, with some of his own CIA allies intent on his destruction, who can he really trust?

TRAPPING ZERO (Book #4) is an un-putdownable espionage thriller that will keep you turning pages late into the night.

Fun books to take my mind off the seriousness of life, but this book and the one before used the word “scoff” and it’s iterations to distraction.. . where were the editors?

Reid Lawson, a.k.a Kent Steele, a.k.a. Agent Zero, is back to being Professor Lawson. His memory has not fully returned, but he occasionally gets flashes of memory when seeing someone, having or seeing a particular task, or even a smell. He is leaving being a field agent and trying to provide a stable family environment for his daughters safety and to help them recover from recent trauma. However the world and his CIA superiors will not let that happen. He is thrust back into being an active agent. His burden is enormous trying to protect his daughters and successfully complete his CIA tasks. All the while knowing there is a large conspiracy involving high ranking government officials. He also does not know who to trust or who is trying to kill him. He cannot do it alone, so he accepts help from wherever he can get it. He really wants to get his total memory back to make his life easier and his family safer. Can he do all that is required of him. Action, drama, and surprises await him.

Agent Zero is continually leaving his daughters to go fight terrorists. And his daughters are continually getting taken hostage. I’ve had enough. I quit.
  • Brilliant Installment!

I’m hooked on Zero. Best series in the genre to date. Writing and characters are great, and I appreciate the absence of the usual, these days, “dumbing down” tea party mantra. Mars is much more subtle even if the message is perhaps the same. Book 4 picks up right where book 3 left us. The political and personal intrigues remain, and the action is full tilt. Zero’s family returns to front center, the bad guys are a bit run-of-the mill jihadis, but it’s all good. The ending is one of the best closings to a “phase one” of any series I’ve read. You will have a nice wrap to books 1-4 but new doors open and you’re left gasping for the next book to keep you up all night. Highly recommended!
