Description

The sexy, action-packed first book in the #1 bestselling Court of Thorns and Roses series from global phenomenon Sarah J. Maas.

When nineteen-year-old huntress Feyre kills a wolf in the woods, a terrifying creature arrives to demand retribution. Dragged to a treacherous magical land she knows about only from legends, Feyre discovers that her captor is not truly a beast, but one of the lethal, immortal faeries who once ruled her world.

At least, he's not a beast all the time.

As she adapts to her new home, her feelings for the faerie, Tamlin, transform from icy hostility into a fiery passion that burns through every lie she's been told about the beautiful, dangerous world of the Fae. But something is not right in the faerie lands. An ancient, wicked shadow is growing, and Feyre must find a way to stop it, or doom Tamlin-and his world-forever.

From bestselling author Sarah J. Maas comes a seductive, breathtaking book that blends romance, adventure, and faerie lore into an unforgettable read.

I haven’t read a book for pleasure in a while due to other obligations, but I tore through this one within 4 days. Vivid imagery, solid storyline, and you never know what is going to happen next; so you have to keep turning pages.

Yall, this book had me wanting more. I’m excited to read the next book. I love the story and the world Sarah built. This hooked me and helped me find a passion for reading again. I’m in love with the characters, and the way she described the vision of the world and characters. I’m looking forward the mystery of the story/events that will unfold (as well as the spicy romance of coarse ;) ).

Just not for me. Uninteresting use of language, restricted vocabulary…lots of jarring modernisms. Plot a compendium of every romance adventure I’ve encountered. Everyone is beautiful. Girl gets guy. Plus Faerie.

You’re quickly swept up into a compelling storyline that keeps you on the very edge of your seat until the very end! I very much enjoyed watching Feyre’s and Tamblin’s developing relationship and their struggles. Though there is a reason I rate this book 4/5 instead of a 5/5. It has a lot of suggestive elements and even a few scenes. It has heavy descriptions of gore and things that might make a person uncomfortable or even disturbed. While I can put all that aside and enjoy the elements of fantasy and drama some might not. Therefore, it is four stars. :)

This book grabbed my attention from the beginning and it kept me intrigued until the very last word. I highly recommend it and I want more stories like this one. I am now looking to purchase the second book in the series.

When I started this book, it started off a little slow, gave me like hunger game vibes, but then it turned into like this crazy adventure that keeps you turning and turning and it’s constantly changing and there’s new characters introduced and you’ve plots. It’s so good. The character backgrounds are so well written. I recommend this book, especially if you like fantasy romance between fairies and humans.
