The sexy, action-packed first book in the #1 bestselling Court of Thorns and Roses series from global phenomenon Sarah J. Maas.

When nineteen-year-old huntress Feyre kills a wolf in the woods, a terrifying creature arrives to demand retribution. Dragged to a treacherous magical land she knows about only from legends, Feyre discovers that her captor is not truly a beast, but one of the lethal, immortal faeries who once ruled her world.

At least, he's not a beast all the time.

As she adapts to her new home, her feelings for the faerie, Tamlin, transform from icy hostility into a fiery passion that burns through every lie she's been told about the beautiful, dangerous world of the Fae. But something is not right in the faerie lands. An ancient, wicked shadow is growing, and Feyre must find a way to stop it, or doom Tamlin-and his world-forever.

From #1 bestselling author Sarah J. Maas comes a seductive, breathtaking book that blends romance, adventure, and faerie lore into an unforgettable read.

Loved the surprises in this book and while mostly predictable, the little twists that were included were wonderful.

I have struggled to fall in love with reading again. Until this book. I couldn鈥檛 put it down. When I did manage to put it down, it鈥檚 all I could think about. Such a wild ride. Mass really swept me up into this story. I鈥檝e never wanted to escape from my own reality into a book more. I read it in two days and I鈥檓 currently halfway through the second book.

Honestly, i loved it. The relationships were very well written, good world building (appreciated the map), and the way they describe settings you can really visualize the settings.

I started reading this book after her throne of glass series and I鈥檓 honestly just so underwhelmed. I saw so much hype for this series online and I finally caved but man oh man. It鈥檚 such a juvenile read and feyre is just a super annoying character to me. I understand everyone has their tastes and book reviews aren鈥檛 trustworthy for that reason. But if you鈥檙e like me and loved throne of glass and wanted more of THAT, don鈥檛 look here. Sorry Sarah, this one was a miss and half.

I really enjoyed this book. The authors descriptive writings are very impressive and while you鈥檙e reading the way she interprets you feel like you鈥檝e missed out a lot, the actual art of writing when reading other books. Her ability to translate her thoughts onto paper is quite fascinating and inspiring. The actual plot of the book was excellent. It reminded me of beauty and the beast meets hunger games meets Conan the barbarian lol the only negative I would have about the book is that there is so much buildup about the main characters love for one another and passion, but when it comes to the scenes where they can express it it鈥檚 cut very short and not very detailed, which I think most of us prefer to read lol that鈥檚 my only critique, I really enjoyed the plot and will continue reading more
