Description

The beautiful resort town of Heaven's Peak is home to gorgeous landscapes and terrifying secrets.

After the tragic death of his mother, teenage photographer Kevin Miller moves to a new town with his alcoholic father and eight-year-old sister in the hope of bringing the family together and starting over. However, everything changes when Kevin witnesses his sister being kidnapped by a bizarre creature. The police are skeptical of his story, so he decides to unveil the mysteries surrounding the town on his own.

On the other side of the investigation, FBI agent Norman James will do anything to solve the baffling case, except believe a traumatized teenager's nonsense.

Meanwhile, newscasts predict a blizzard approaching in the next couple of days, as people in the town begin to behave strangely.

Will Kevin and Norman find Kevin's little sister before Heaven's Peak is consumed by darkness?

Heaven's Peak is the first full-length horror-thriller novel from author Miguel Estrada. If you like suspense, mystery and dread, prepare for a ride you won't forget.

Definitely enjoyed Heaven’s Peak. First time reader. Great eerie plot with strong characters. Reminded me of some early Dean Koontz novels. Will give you another read and support a Latino horror novelist. Not to many of you in this genre.

The first dozen chapters or so were very confusing. But once the introduction was over, everything fell into place. This book was fantastic. Made me have vivid thoughts while reading. Amazing.

The story itself is fairly decent and original. I think the plot loses itself at times. There’s no real clear reasoning for why the story’s events are happening, and the half way theories the story does provide doesn’t seem to go anywhere. I appreciated the non-linear perspective switching between chapters, however. It’s far from best seller worthy, but it’s not a painful read if you have a couple hours to kill. Also, two last notes: 1. Get an editor to proofread your stories, 2. The author really focuses on certain words and reuses them a lot in lieu of description

I loved the pace of this book from start to finish. I got attached to the characters really easily. Each of the chapters flowed really well and converged perfectly. This would make a great movie! But the book would be better. Looking forward to reading more by Miguel Estrada.

This book definitely a really good book, it will keep at the edge of you seat, but at the end of the book I was kinda disappointed with the outcome.

I liked this book a lot. Well, I loved it. It had the gore and details that a strong horror-loving person like me loves. It’s very interesting, and details are perfect! Lots of action, and horror (duh). If you like action and horror, (and don’t mind a bunch of gore) this book is for you! The ending really was sad and a bit emotional too. Five stars.
