The confirmation of Dr. Irene Kennedy as the CIA’s new director explodes into chaos as a deadly inside plot to destroy her and prematurely end the president’s term emerges. Meanwhile, a dangerous world leader gains power in the nuclear arms race, leading Israel to force the president’s hand with a chilling ultimatum. With the specter of World War III looming, the president calls on top counterterrorism operative Mitch Rapp, but with only two weeks to take out the nukes, Rapp is up against a ticking clock—and impossible odds.

  • Overly Descriptive

Like other commenters, I found myself skipping through the description of Anna and her emotions. That’s not what I read this series for and it was rather drab. Actually, a new reader to the series could skip this book and be fine.

Great book. One of my favorites in the series. Good mix of politics and action. Some love in there too. Highly recommend this book.

Way too much detail. Not enough Story. Combine Books 4 and 5 and you have the book. Not happy with it.
  • Weak drama

Way too much “relationship issues” for me. It was a boring plot line with a weak ending.

  • A Story For Our Time

Fast paced, realistic and appropriate for now and a long time to come. Our country needs the likes of Mitch Rapp. Action speaks louder than all the nonsense spouted by politicians. Civil behavior requires wise people to interact in a genuine manner. Without consideration of one another society would dissolve. Mitch Rapp makes sure we ALL pay attention.

Terrible. Did Vince Flynn write this one? Don’t waste your $10🙄

I found this, my fifth read in the Rapp series, to be so redundant and lame that I am giving up on the rest of them. Flynn is apparently writing for the lowest common denominator--explaining and explaining again--that I am insulted. I'll stick with Child and Baldacci, thanks.
