Poorly written, poorly edited; regret every minute I wasted reading it. I love a good plot twist but this couldn’t come up with one so misled the reader on several fronts to create a ridiculous ending. Embarrassed for the author.

This exceptionally well written book not only captures the reader from the beginning it is also thought provoking, intense, and unforgettable.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story.. each page drawing me further in and the twists and turns had me guessing — completely wrong! A great read.

The single star is credit due for luring me into this intriguing yet ultimately infuriating and ridiculously bad book.
  • Needs a good edit

There are some nice passages, good thoughts, observations and ideas. But in my opinion too many passages telling us how the character is tired, sleepy but can’t sleep, disoriented and confused. That and inconsistencies in the text hold this story down (character finds a novel, stays up all night and reads it in one sitting. Some pages later the author tells us the character hasn’t been able to read for months because the words shift around on the page). Some good editing would help the interesting plot become a better story.

If this were marketed as a young adult mystery, maybe, but as an adult I have to say that I have not read such a silly novel in a long time.
  • Not much of a plot - boring ending

This was easy to read and kept me turning pages to see how it would end - yet, for 250 pages nothing happens (just constant scene setting and fake outs) until the final 20 pages, in which the most practical, non scary, not interesting “end” is revealed. There’s an attempt to be THRILLING on the last page - but all in all; there’s not much going on here. Forgettable over all.
