Description

Tahoe Roth.
Irreverent, cocky, playful and naughty.
He’s not the guy you date.
He’s the one night stand.
The one your mother warned you about.
The one your body craves.

You’d think the man who called me succulent would want to strip me down and spread me out on his bed—like he’s done with countless others.

But he passed on my offer….

Just like I’d once passed on his.

He’s wary, like I am.

He’s broken, like I am.

And everyone knows two broken parts can’t ever make a whole.

Tahoe and I are strictly friends.

So I distract myself with other men.

He doesn’t think my new man is good enough. This blond blue-eyed beast doesn’t think any man is—himself included.

But the more time we spend together, the more confused I feel.
I'm trying to open myself to love.

Yet I'm quickly realizing that the only man I want is Tahoe Roth.
The one man who will surely break my heart.

A sexy new contemporary romance from New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Katy Evans. Although connected to the Manwhore Series, this book can be read as a standalone.

First let me say I really enjoy reading books from this author. I have been in a slump finding good books so I started re-reading previous books. I was so hooked with the first two and was excited that the series has expanded since I last read (I skipped the 3rd). This book had me hooked but then after more than half way in they were still in the friend zone. So I feel 90% of this books was all lead up and only 10% was the good stuff when they finally got together. Then I figured the next book would carry on their story but it ended. It was a disappointing read, but I’ll still give the next book a try.

I was nervous going into Ladies Man because I haven't always been a fan of Gina. I thought she was a bit too judgmental in the past and I didn't like that about her. However she surprised me and I actually didn't feel that way about her in this book. I enjoyed her and Tahoe's relationship. It's a bit complicated and neither always know where the other stands, but I really like them together. I really, really like Tahoe. He is hilarious and a smooth talker, definitely a ladies man, but he also has a soft sweet side that we get to see. I just wish we would have gotten his perspective as well. The storyline was a little slow at times, but I still enjoyed it and think time is what both of them needed.

I enjoyed this story a lot because the attraction was sooooo strong and they did not jump in th bed to quickly. They learned to trust each other first.

Tahoe was a player. Basically, a ladies man. Women were sex toys that Tahoe enjoyed exploring. He was unpredictable, untamed, and unattainable. Tahoe was weary of love and commitment. Gina/Regina was looking for commitment. Gina was mending a broken heart and pining for an unattainable man. They both were scared to explore the sexual energy. They were friends by choice having offered each other the forbidden fruit but too scared to plunge into the desire for fear of where it would lead. Gina's character felt unworthy of a loving committed relationship with a man who could accept her as is. Having been cheated on by a man she loved for two years Gina set out to find herself. Gina was a simple lady looking for love, commitment, and fun. Gina's character went through the motions of life dating Trent because he was nice and uncomplicated. Tahoe's character was unhinged sexually, attracting an endless array of women. Tahoe's coping mechanism was sex. Tahoe distracted himself with women to set his mind free of lustful thoughts he had for Gina. Gina was so innocent, naive, and clueless when under the gaze of Tahoe. His behavior and actions with Gina were sincere. He was reserved with Gina. The characters had a twisted perception about themselves that kept me drawn to them. I loved Gina's innocent sense of friendship with Tahoe. I loved how clueless she was with the affect she had on him. In some sections when Gina was perusing Tahoe's physique it read like she was dreaming. I questioned whether what was stated was fantasy or the present. Maybe it was me being whisked away in dreamland wanting and imagining Tahoe as my own Viking. The entire story was about Tahoe and Gina teasing and taunting each other by flirting and skirting their desire. Both were afraid to get hurt. Too afraid to be in love. Oh! How I would have loved Tahoe's POV. Snippets here and there were given of his perspective. He was honest and raw. The story was about Gina's fear of men in the form of falling in love only to be hurt by betrayal once again. Gina wanted Tahoe but he was a womanizer who could hurt her. Katy's words were sexual foreplay the entire time. I craved those small snippets of connection. Katy illustrated Tahoe as a Viking. Tahoe was a hot sexy beast that drove me wild with lust. I was impressed with Katy's take on Tahoe, the ladies man. This womanizing man threaded himself slowing into my heart from Gina's slow teasing friendship.

This book is horrible!!! This author writes like she is in high school. I thought I'd give her another try...but I just can't. The story seems so fake and forced that I was just turning pages to get to the end.

The real series is one of my favorite series of all time. I don't understand how this book can be written by the same author. It took so long for these two to finally get together and then when they did it just fell flat for me! I wanted to love this book but I found I really had to push myself to finish it. It was just ok for me.

Let me star off by saying that I'm a Katy Evans fan (Shout out to Remy!) but this book just didn't hit the stars for me. Tahoe: Manwhore, yep that about covers it for just about the entire book. I wanted to like him and I was real close but it never happened. Gina: What word am I looking for? Weak, insecure, stupid. Oh sorry that was more than one word. I just didn't like her, not even a little she absolutely got on my nerves, especially about Trent, Ugh. Her first time with Trent?! Believe me, their would not be a second. This girl tried to change herself to fit a man, she never felt she could be herself, well except with Tahoe. Tahoe and Gina: I saw what Katy was trying to do by building their friendship but it took too long. I liked their time together while building their friendship, especially when he took her home to meet his family BUT Tahoe has sex with waaaay too many women and Gina settled for waaay too long. She either walked in on or called him when he was with other women waaay too many times for me to care. I feel I would be interested in reading about Livvy (Tahoe's sister)and Callan and look forward to the synopsis.
