His to Claim

Wow. His to Claim is a great addition to the Bears of Grizzly Ridge series. I keep saying it with each of these books, but I just didn't realize how great a shifter book could be. Kade has been puzzling readers with his gruff exterior and rejection of his true self since the beginning of the series. Enter Gabriella, the one woman who could break through Kade's gruff exterior. I love how strong she is - knowing from the start that she is meant to be with Kade. He fights his draw to her just as he's been fighting his inner true self since we met him. His inner struggles revolve around his relationship with his twin and her choices in life - he didn't believe in fated mates as she did. Again, enter Gabriella, who turns Kade's life on its ear and makes him believe in things he didn't think possible. This book is a quick read but a complete story. We get glimpses into the background of what drove the Jackson's to Grizzly Ridge and what made Kade the way he is. I've loved all of the heroes of Grizzly Ridge but Kade has a special place in my heart. Disclosure: I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I loved Kade and Gabriella's story! Kade has been denying that fated mates truly are real even though he has watched his sister and his two brothers all find their mates. In doing so they have been banished from their clan to live on Grizzly Ridge running a lodge. Ever since his sister found her mate Kade has also been denying his bear side and in doing so it has started to interfere with his everyday life. Grabriella thought finding a job as a cook at the lodge was the answer to all of her problems. She would have a job, place to live and be in a remote enough location that they wouldn't be able to find her and bring her back to marry against her will. Finding the perfect location, friends and mate have made leaving the only home that she has ever known that much easier, but her father and ex aren't going to stop until they bring her back kicking and screaming. I was given an ARC for an honest review. All conclusions are mine and mine alone.

I'm usually not a reader to this genre most of the time, but I have throughly enjoyed this series of books. The Jackson Family & their mates brought forth many crucial decisions in real life as well as the paranormal world. Kade's story of challenges of everything to love, hate, & mating is very intense to him & his family. His instant attraction to Gabriella & keeping her safe is a love story waiting to be discovered. When Kade, finally, gives into his instincts, the results are rewarding to himself, Grabriella, & the entire Jackson Clan. Definitely, a 5 star book!

It's the last of the bear shifter books and I'm sad. I truly enjoyed these books and especially His To Claim! Luke was always the grumpy brother. Didn't believe in "fated mates" when his twin left their clan for her fated mate. Once Ella was on the radar he was a ball of emotions about mating. Was Ella something more? He was very confused and Ella had a secret. He had to clear his thoughts about their future. They are meant for each other but the complications are still there. Such a sweet love story. Wish it didn't have to end....I loved it as I do every one of Elena Aitkins books! ❤️
