I read this book in the summer of my 5th grade year. I wasn’t into reading a much as others my age. The first 50 pages I read got me hooked. I literally could not stop until it reached to a point when my mom had to yell at me to put it down. I highly recommend this book for any age.

I read this as my first historical fiction world war 2 book in 6th grade. I wasnt a reader I absolutely hated it until I discovered this book. I was immediately hooked on how the author presented his words and how he made the characters. I immediately started buying Alan Gratz books. I have tried many other authors and by far Alan Gratz is my top!😁

This book was okay it had a good ending though at least for the most part. It’s like an other World War II book very sad and depressing.
