Lyle Tate is ready to do the sexy calendar shoot as soon as he's asked. Being a risk taker he asks to be Mr. July and volunteers to strip down with only a flag between him and the camera. When Emily Foster hears her sister Charlie is in love and staying Marietta for good she cant believe it and decides to track her down to check it out. When Lyle avoids hitting a dog in the road he splashes through a puddle unintentionally soaking Emily. When Emily shows up to surprises Charlie she is also in for a surprise to find out Lyle is the brother of the man charlie is in love with. Rule following Emily doesn't expect to like Lyle but after they are thrown together she sees a new side to him. This book was a great addition to the Men of Marietta series. I really enjoyed the opposites attract story line. The main character were very likable and easy to root for.

Yet another great story! I'm really enjoying this series so far. Emily is in Marietta to check up on her sister who suddenly went from wild child to settling down with a rancher. Lyle is that rancher's little brother and is a bit of a wild and crazy person himself. They say opposites attract, and these two definitely had a lot of chemistry. I really loved how sweet and caring Lyle is deep down. He goes out of his way to help everyone else, including lost dogs, but yet keeps everyone at a distance. I really love how Emily figured him out, and how he figured her out. They really were a great match.

This is the second book in Men of Marietta featuring the sexy first responders. Emily, the rule follower has arrived in Marietta to check up on her twin sister, Charlie, who has met the love of her life, Logan. Emily soon meets Lyle, smoke jumper and younger brother of Logan. Neither are looking for lasting relationship but a fling would be fine in both of their minds. Soon they find they are both opening their hearts with their unhappy upbringings. Are either one willing to make this more than a fling? Loved this story of finding love when you least expect it. Great characters, who are broken but soon are able to help each other. I highly recommend this book. I think you should read the first book in the series first though.

An excellent opposites attract story! Emily Foster arrives in Marietta to check up on her wild and crazy sister Charlie. They may be twins but they couldn't be more different. Charlie was the risk taking wild child, Emily the rule follower, but they love each other fiercely. So when Charlie decides to settle down in Marietta, Emily knew she had to check out the town and the guy her sister was so crazy about. Thankfully she really like Logan. He seems perfect for her sister. His brother Lyle on the other hand has a way of driving Emily crazy. Until he doesn't..... Another entertaining read in this new series. I definitely recommend it.

I loved Flirting with Fire written by Kate Hardy, the second book in the Men of Marietta series. This is another heart wrenching story featuring people who missed out on the love from their parents. This is Lyle Tate and Emily Foster’s story, their siblings being featured in the first book. Emily comes to Marietta, from London, to check on her twin Charlie and if her love for Logan is true and it is there she meets Lyle, Logan’s younger brother. As these two spend time together they decide to act on the attraction between them by having a fling. However, these two skeptics towards love soon realize that love is what they feel for each other. Emily realizes that, like her parental neglect, Lyle needs to come to terms with thanking his brother for protecting him from their mean, drunk father. The biggest problems for Lyle and Emily are admitting that they love each other and what to do about the distance between their homes. This story really resonated with me, exemplifying that hope and love does exist. Also that there is more than one way to follow one’s passion. Ms Hardy did an outstanding job exemplifying this in her writing and plot line. I really enjoyed reading this book and had trouble putting this book down, reading it in one day. I highly recommend this book to other readers. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

Flirting with Fire: A Men of Marietta Romance by Kate Hardy I just love the Tate brothers! If you have read Tempting the Deputy (Logan and Charlie's story), you got to know Lyle since he was Logan's brother. This is Emily Foster and Lyle Tate's story. Lyle has a reputation for being a fun, flirty, and fancy free type guy. Is this the real Lyle or is he using this as a front? Emily comes across as being unapproachable but is she also using that as a front to protect herself from being hurt? The chemistry between Lyle and Emily was off the charts. Is this just a fling or can they let their guards down and take a chance on true love? I loved the flirty banter, sexy and emotional moments. A great fun and entertaining read! This series is a must read! FYI, contains mature content. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
