Description

Tyler

Football is my life and it always has been.

I made a vow to be the best, regardless of distractions. I'm Tyler the Freight Train Owens, I can handle anything on the field.

Off of it however, my days begin to pile up with college, football, and helping out my brothers. I need a small reprieve. Especially if she's five foot five, brunette and has legs that go on for miles.

I can handle a small distraction, no problem. Besides, when that time clock runs out, I don't have time for panties, only touchdowns.

Kadence

Star football player...Check.

Spoiled brat...Check.

Manwhore...Check.

Right when I think I have Tyler Owen's all figured out; he knocks me on my ass, literally. I wasn't expecting him to help me up, or the little shock that I felt when we touched, but then I didn't think I'd fall in love either.

Too bad he has a line of willing women trailing after him, because I refuse to be one of them. The Freight Train may be used to scoring on and off the field, but this is one game he can't win.

Complete standalone novel over 300 pages, HEA, No cliffhanger

4⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Style: YA Romance (College) Story: 3.5/5 Enjoyment: 4/5 Dark Level: 0/5 Sexual Level: GOOD Triggers: Yes Violence: No Male: Football Star & Likable Series: Book 1 Pages: 426 Audio: GOOD (southern accents) Kindle Unlimited: No STORY: I found this story ridiculously cute. It is the typical popular college football player and the girl, who pretty much keeps to herself, that gets notice by said popular jock. If you are familiar with a tv series and movie called Friday Night Lights, this is basically this book. This isn’t a bully, enemies to lovers or dark romance, it’s just a college story about two students that has an attraction for each other and we are along for the ride. The author brought us on football games, Tyler’s home life (and I am excited to read his brothers soon, yummy) and his journey to go pro. I’m Tyler Mother F$&@ing Freight Train Owens, haha, I love when he said that. Kadence, was the sweetest thing. She was your typical College girl and that made her relatable. Watching her go through the motions of being sure, unsure, then sure and overthinking the relationship was interesting. They both really didn’t have any issues, but they still gave me a good read. SEXUAL CHEMISTRY: I love their sexual chemistry. I thought the tempo fit them and I was able to connect with them. I was satisfied. SECONDARY CHARACTERS: Tyler’s brothers - Clyde and Nate sounds yummy and interesting. They are not in college but not far off in age. I’m intrigued and will put their stories in my to read pile. Tyler’s Friends - JJ and Chandler can we get a story on them? Love them. Kadence’s best friend - Brianne. She had a little storyline going on. I was disappointed because I wanted to know more. Kadence’s dad - ok, Kadence’s dad sounds like a DILF, Dad I’ll like to f$&k and he is in an MC, where is my fan! I need cooling off. Even he needs a story. I don’t care if it’s a novella. I’ll take him any way I can get him. OVERALL: I found myself liking this story and fell in love with the characters. This was my first book by the author and will see where this series takes me. TRIGGERS: alcohol use & roofied drink ****I don’t equate these stories to real life. It’s about personal taste and what you would or want to tolerate with the books you read. I know we all have different opinions and preferences with what we read. I based my book reviews on my preferences and what I like, and while these preferences may not be the same for others, I hope this review was still helpful.

Colliding Into Love & Meeting Chaos This is the first book in the standalone Dirty Down South Series and this author tackled it! I can't wait for more! I loved this book, which is different from Sapphire Knight's other books, but it still has her flare and leaves you craving more! This is a must read! Kadence Winters is an independent, beautiful woman (that gets overlooked because she dresses to be comfortable), hard-working college student, who would rather be reading than partying. She has always been been careful on who she lets into her life and for good reason. Until she literally runs into and gets knocked down by the college's football star athlete, Tyler Owens. He is Alabama University's "golden boy," who is also hot as sin and a player. He is intrigued by Kadence, who doesn't fall all over herself to get to him like others do, and seems to want to avoid him. Neither can figure out why the other is appealing to them, but they enjoy each others company, jokes, and there's so much about the other that they didn't think they would ever want, yet they grow closer. Ty wants to make it official, but Kay isn't so sure. There's mystery and secrets that both are hiding. Will this bring them closer or tear them apart? Plus, the Pro scouts are looking at Ty. If he gets picked up, how would they stay together? Should Kadence take a chance on real love or stick with her book boyfriends?

Sapphire Knight has done it again! 😍❤ She introduces you into a new world where football is king. Kadence is our lovely and un-college girl you can get, with her jeans and tee shirts and reading glasses she spends more time reading romance than thinking it is something that will happen for her. Being in one of the biggest football schools she has her sights set on academics and not the one dimensional football players, she knows they want one thing and she is so far from that girl. She will not be swept off her feet by any of them, or so she thought. Tyler is the university of Alabamas most popular and talented player, he is on the fast track to NFL and if he has anything to do with it nothing is stopping him. Then he literally is hit by the love of his life. Kadence and Tyler are knocked into each other, each one struggling against their soul but eventually their love is soon too much for them to ignore. You will fall in love and it will feel like the first time with this book. Sapphire has once again transported you into a world where you believe you know these people and they are somewhere living their forever. This book includes love of course but also so much more, truly couldn't put it down.

4.5 stars This book is perfectly sweet with a dash of spice. Ty and Kadence are fit for each other, with just enough humanity to make you feel like they're real and not a fairytale. This is a great quality in a book for me, to feel like I'm actually IN the book and not just reading it. Kadence is so relatable that you fall in love with her instantly. Ty is yummy all around making you want to take him home to Mama, but to have pull over for a quickie before you get there! This is different from any other book by Sapphire Knight, and shows just how talented she really is by branching out. I highly recommend checking it out!
  • Refreshing and sweet brand new series!

Let me just start by saying this: if you've read Sapphire's previous books, you're in for a real treat, as this new series is a complete 180 from what you're used to reading from her! Young love, sports romance, with a dash of angst, 1st Time Love will give you the surprise story line you didn't see coming from Sapphire's books, but also still give you her outstanding writing style we've come to love so much! This book was such a refreshing and sweet romance, with small hints of mystery and intrigue throughout. The chemistry between football star Tyler and sassy wallflower Kadence was magnetic, you couldn't help but be drawn to them and anticipating their unique interactions with each other. Tyler's charisma was almost too good to be true, so it's not wonder Kadence had her reservations with him, let alone him being a football player. But true to form, their opposites attract appearance (when really it was anything but that) didn't hinder their ability to connect with one another. Their similarities were what actually drew them to each other, and only made them grow stronger as a couple. And the more you find out about their individual pasts and family, you begin to look at Tyler and Kadence on a more personal level, and understand how they're absolutely perfect for each other. I am beyond excited about this series! It showcases Sapphire's amazing writing ability to delve into a new sub-genre in romance for her. Being a fan of her previous series, I have nothing but high hopes that this book will bring along a new fan-base for her Dirty Down South series. Don't pass up this book; it's heartwarming, enduring and completely romantic! 5 stars!
