Description

Ainsley Harris knows two things for sure: She’ll do whatever it takes to keep her friends and family safe. And she’s been in love with her best friend for years. Loch Collins has no idea that she loves him. He refuses to look past the comfort of friendship because he has a business to run, a past to keep hidden, and a daughter to raise alone. He can’t risk losing Ainsley by giving into the temptation that has burned in his veins for years. But one night changes everything and the next night breaks the rules. Only something is coming for the small, fractured family they’ve created. And if Loch isn’t careful, he’ll lose everything he fought to protect—even if it means breaking his best friend’s heart to keep her safe.

4.5/5 Strong finish to this spin off series! Ainsley and Loch are a friends-to-lovers story. They have good chemistry and I liked how Ainsley had a backbone and helped Loch realize what he could be losing. The author is talented at writing about strong characters that fight thru their insecurities to achieve their HEA. Enjoyable read!

This book hit all the marks for me. Loch is protective and loving and has a past that is catching up with him. A past that is putting the ones that he loves the most in danger. Ainsley has been in love with him forever, but doesn’t want to chance losing his friendship on a relationship that might fail. Resigned to her role as best friend she supports and loves Loch and his little girl as much as she can without crossing any lines. This books concludes the series with a bang, it’s an incredible ending to an incredible cast of characters. Sending them off with Loch and Ainsley, watching their love morph from friendship to true love was amazing. Another 5 star read from Carrie Ann.

Ainsley and Loch have loved each other for a long time but never knew how the other felt and didn’t want to risk their friendship and also Misty, Loch’s daughter. These two are perfect for each other and I love that Ainsley won’t let Loch push her away, even though he is trying to do it for her safety. There is more drama in this book, it thankfully Loch and his brothers are able to help save Ainsley. I received an ARC of this book and voluntarily reviewed it.

I have to say, it’s a toss up at this point if I love the Montgomerys or the spin off families more. Carrie Ann Ryan has created a very large and complex world. In the last of the Whiskey and Lies series, we FINALLY get Loch and Ainsley’s story. I’ve been Team Ainsley since Whiskey Secrets. I think she’s a strong female character. The insights we get into her and her past in Whiskey Undone illustrate that fact. While she doesn’t believe she’s enough, she proves time and again she’s more. I wasn’t sure about Loch. Don’t get me wrong, Ryan does growly loner like nobody’s business, but she was playing Loch close to the vest. That made it hard to get a read on him. I will say, I was ready to throat punch him more than once at the beginning of this book. But because Ryan knows what she’s doing, that just made it even sweeter when we finally got to see what Loch was keeping hidden away. Ryan does a great job with the suspense in Whiskey Undone. She keeps you on your toes and guessing. There’s more than once I was on the edge of my seat, and I was up past my bedtime because I just had to know what happened next. Trust me, it was totally worth it. While I’m sad to see the end of the Whiskey and Lies series, Ryan brought yet another amazing family to life. I’m going to miss the Collins and Whiskey, PA.

We have watched Loch & Ainsley’s relationship for two books now...& it’s finally here! Ainsley wants Loch to truly see her. When he finally admits he always has, the steam flows off the pages like a good cup of coffee! Loch’s former job has come back to haunt him and the town of Whiskey. So, in true Collins brother fashion, he does something stupid and tries to push her away. Read the conclusion to the Whiskey trio. Since Carrie Ann loves us readers so much, there’s a nice epilogue with a giant bow on it for all the Collins, including our Montgomery Ink crossover, Tabby & Alex!

FINALLY!!!!!!!!! Since book 1 I’ve been dying to see what happens with Loch and Ainsley!! The way these two finally got together was THE BEST!! I loved the uncertainty of it, the breaking point and the pieces that followed. There were so many layers to them as a couple, even before they were a couple. It was great to see them get peeled back to see how they fit together. One of the most adorable parts was how Misty was involved. This little girl seemed to really want to play Cupid, even though that’s never really made mention. The twists and turns in this book were amazing. I loved the edge of suspense that this book took on. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. I love how Loch dealt with the bad situations and how caveman like he was about protecting everyone around him. And the ending. I am the biggest fan of epilogues and Carrie Ann does them SO WELL. This was a beautiful ending to an amazing series. So glad we got to see another connection with the Montgomery’s with this family

I think writing reviews are so hard. I hate spoilers, I don't like when reviews reiterate what the blurb already says.... so here goes. This book is outstanding. It can be read as a stand alone, but why? Books in a series are always richer having read the series. Carrie Ann Ryan takes you on a ride that doesn't leave you hanging. If you have read the first 2 in the series, this book is just as amazing as the other two. If you have not read the first 2 in the series, read this book and then run...don't walk to get the other 2 books. The characters are flawed yet relatable, funny, and real. You feel like you are part of the story, like it is something that you could have or have experienced. Carrie Ann Ryan has written another stellar book. Can't wait till the next one. Cheers!

Ainsley has been Loch’s best friend for years, taking care of his little girl they almost seemed like a couple. Loch is a bit stubborn and won’t give in to his feelings for her. There’s always a little mistery and danger in the quiet town of Whiskey and the Collins are always in the middle. Ainsley does show her toughness, she is no delicate flower. I loved her. And Loch had to unlock his heart. Great story. This series is great.

I loved this story!!! Loch and Ainsley are so perfect together and both so insecure in how they are in able to manage a relationship. When danger shows up all Loch can think about is keeping those he loves safe. Ainsley wants to be strong and she is stronger than she realizes when she fights to get back to those she loves and the family she has chosen. The Collins family is amazing and this book is a fabulous conclusion.
