Time * NPR * Washington Post * Bloomberg News * Chicago Tribune * Chicago Public Library * Fortune * Los Angeles Times * E! News * The Telegraph * Apple * Library Journal  In this newly updated edition of the "meticulous and devastating" (Associated Press) account of violence and espionage that spent months on the New York Times Bestsellers list, Ronan Farrow exposes serial abusers and a cabal of powerful interests hell-bent on covering up the truth, at any cost - from Hollywood to Washington and beyond.
In 2017, a routine network television investigation led to a story only whispered about: one of Hollywood's most powerful producers was a predator, protected by fear, wealth, and a conspiracy of silence. As Farrow drew closer to the truth, shadowy operatives, from high-priced lawyers to elite war-hardened spies, mounted a secret campaign of intimidation, threatening his career, following his every move, and weaponizing an account of abuse in his own family. This is the untold story of the exotic tactics of surveillance and intimidation deployed by wealthy and connected men to threaten journalists, evade accountability, and silence victims of abuse. And it's the story of the women who risked everything to expose the truth and spark a global movement

I recommend this book to anyone who wants to know the real truth. Farrow is a first class writer, investigator without here, and willing to risk it all. His first book was terrific, but this one is both, illuminating, horrifying, and is the essence of truth. Hopefully, American journalism will return to its intended goal of telling the truth. Wow. I have never been so enthralled yet angry and sad while reading a book. It’s frightening and sad that a majority of us are unaware of the corruption and power of executives at large companies. To have the power to sweep multiple allegations and stories under the rug and to make it appear as these accusers are unhinged and dishonest. I applaud Farrow and appreciate what it took to make this story public. I look at the media and journalism different today, and realize there will always be big stories we never see or that it will take years for those stories to become apparent. I highly encourage everyone read this.

The extraordinary depth of research and care which went into this book is readily apparent from its earliest chapters. Ronan Farrow leaves absolutely nothing untouched. You will emerge from this book with a renewed appreciation for honest journalism and healthy skepticism for how the news we rely on can be influenced by dishonest forces, both seen and unseen.

This book is a must read for anyone who wishes to comprehend who is pulling the strings in America today, and how they operate. Farrow is not only a brilliant mind but a very hard worker with a tenacious will. I have so much respect for honest journalists who are a corner pin of our democracy.

Extremely well done! Thought I knew the whole story and would be bored, but instead found it riveting. Also, Farrow comes across as extremely intelligent and highly adorable.

Excellent and gut wrenching. Details the spectacular failure of those who serve in positions meant to protect, but instead, abuse. This book is a tough read at times, but Ronan approaches the victims stories with layers of thoughtfulness and respect. I respect the hell out of this man for shinning a light in dark corners (along with all the other people who did the same, and are mentioned in this book). It is a book everyone must read.
