Description

A James Patterson Presents Novel From the #1 New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of the Stalking Jack the Ripper series comes a new blockbuster series...  Two sisters. One brutal murder. A quest for vengeance that will unleash Hell itself... And an intoxicating romance. Emilia and her twin sister Vittoria are streghe -- witches who live secretly among humans, avoiding notice and persecution. One night, Vittoria misses dinner service at the family's renowned Sicilian restaurant. Emilia soon finds the body of her beloved twin...desecrated beyond belief. Devastated, Emilia sets out to find her sister's killer and to seek vengeance at any cost-even if it means using dark magic that's been long forbidden. Then Emilia meets Wrath, one of the Wicked-princes of Hell she has been warned against in tales since she was a child. Wrath claims to be on Emilia's side, tasked by his master with solving the series of women's murders on the island. But when it comes to the Wicked, nothing is as it seems...

Very enjoyable intro, mid-way it started having pacing issues then by the end i just wanted it to be over.

This was interesting read and I do recommend it. I gave it four stars because for me it wasn’t the page turner I was hoping for. The story line was good if a bit convoluted at times. Don’t want to spoil it but the ending wasn’t what I hoped it would be.

Definitely a book to read for people who are interested with fantasy and fiction concepts! The only reason I give this a four star is the ending had a twist I did not like. Otherwise this is a good book with a good writing style.

First book I’ve ever finished and I couldn’t put it down! Was really immersive and caused many emotions during the read! It’s my favorite book so far and cannot wait to continue onto the next in the series!

I couldn’t put this down! I was immediately caught up in the characters, their struggles, and the unexpected connections between them! The “dance” between Emilia and Wrath is exquisite. I can’t wait to read the next book!

The first book is soooo good highly recommend, I’ve lended to so many friends it’s too good. But, every book henceforth is just progressive and progressive porn. I like the spicy romance but I feel like the author ended up completely forgetting about the story and plot midway through the series and just did fan fare. While the story is not bad the romance is definitely the main focus. Highly recommend if spice is what you’re looking for :D
