Wired Strong

Once again, Sophie is involved in difficult challenges and struggles. Losing Jake was hard, but she continues to persevere with the support of important people in her life. This story compels us to think about how sometimes those around us aren’t perfect and can’t always be trusted, but that not everything is black and white. Who can we trust? Who is toxic and needs to be removed from our life? Toby Neal’s books are screen-worthy! I hope that I get to see them made into engaging on-screen stories with phenomenal actors.

Sophie has really been put through the ringer over the years. She’s grown exponentially and is a far cry from the quiet and awkward geek we met and love. She’s embraced herself and is more confident than ever. She’s made a life with her small family but just when you think she’s finally found her HEA, the universe steps in and reminds her that there are definitely other plans in store. Yet another turn of events has led Sophie on different journey than she had hoped. Her life is far different from what she’d anticipated, yet strangely familiar. She’s back home with her dad and her dragon mother still wants her dead. Falling back into old habits, Sophie handles her next case by diving into it with her trusty computers. With a new partner, they tackle things head on. In true form their case is filled with mystery until the end. This time with a little hopeful redemption. Action and suspense are high in Connor’s POV with his dealings with the Yām Khûmkạn, the Master, and Pim Wat. Still keeping a faithful eye on Sophie and her family, Conner resurfaces in an attempt to keep them safe thus triggering the FBI and other international agencies along the way. In a game of cat and mouse, who will be the winner? When Toby Neal introduced us to Sophie Ang she said, “...her path to wholeness was going to be a long, potholed road filled with challenges and heartache that she'd overcome, one adventure at a time.” she was NOT kidding! Toby Neal is exceptional in her writing skills. She deserves all the recognition she has been receiving and so much more. I always look forward to every adventure she brings us on.

Another story to get me hook, line and sinker. When I got to the end I wanted more, I didn’t want it to end. I love the characters and feel invested in how everything works out for them.

For Sophie a multi task law enforcement agency is trying to leverage her to help them capture The Ghost., an international fugitive. A plot that quickly brings you up to date on the happenings of members of the family, and loved ones. From a tragedy to a happy occasion awaits Sophia, though her life seems to be with others wanting something from her. A great flowing plot, with action and surprises Given ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion.
