Description

I don’t love him. I don’t even like him. I just want him. Eli Loveless was my nemesis from the first day of kindergarten until we graduated high school. Everything I did, he had to do better - and vice versa. The day he left town was the best day of my life. Ten years later, the day he came back was the worst. Grown-up Eli Loveless is sexy as sin. He’s hotter than asphalt in the summer. The irritating kid I once knew is gone, and he’s been replaced by a man with green eyes, perfect abs, and a cocky smile. It’s bad that I want him. It’s worse that he wants me back. There are looks. There are smirks. There are smiles that make my panties burst into flame. And then there’s a shared kiss that leads to the hottest night of my life. This is no office romance. This is a five-alarm fire. What’s a girl to do when the man I can’t stand is the one I can’t stop lusting after? Enter into a friends-with-benefits agreement, of course. No dates. No relationship. Just blisteringly hot sex, because if there’s one person I could never fall for, it’s Eli. ...right? Enemies With Benefits is the first book in the Loveless Brothers series, and can be read as a total standalone. It's for fans of high-heat, low-angst romantic comedies and anyone who enjoys a rivals-to-lovers story. This book also has tons of sibling banter, a workplace romance that smolders, and a small town with tons of charm and quirk. It's steamy, hilarious, and of course it's got a guaranteed HEA. (And yes, it bangs.) This series is perfect for fans of Cate C. Wells, Kate Canterbary, Melanie Harlow, Elizabeth O'Roark, and Claire Kingsley.

Definitely an enjoyable read. Felt just like a rom com. The growth between the characters was relatable and there was just enough spice to keep readers engaged. The only reason I’m saying 4 stars instead of 5 is just because of the ending. It’s not that I didn’t enjoy the ending (bc it’s cute) but I wish it was a year or so later, not 5 months. Overall, great read and I look forward to the next book.

Overall the book is great! There were parts towards the end that didn’t really make sense? Why did Rusty’s mom get brought up and then there wasn’t a reason as to why she called? Is she okay? Was she in trouble or was she actually drunk? I was kind of expecting something more at the end since we got a “one month later”… “5 months later” view on things. I guess I shouldn’t have expectations on how it should end. But I’m not upset about it.

I loved every second of this book. I read it in 24hrs, and I think it’s beautifully written. I loved both the characters but Violet is incredibly relatable. I love how much thought and personality is put into every character, not just the leads. Wonderful job!
  • The ending ruined it

Overall I liked this book. It was kinda played out that he got a job in a higher position than her, at the job where she works, also the whole story is only 2/3 months and then they move in together? Thats extremely rare and not common. The ending was very rushed. It was so random that Martin sent the nudes of Violet to her boss, totally unnecessary for the story. Also they never could prove that it was Martin that sent Violets boss the naked picture of her? That’s almost ruined the book and really made it look like it was Eli, because it was taken on Eli’s phone so how did this Martin person get it? Super tacky.

I flew through this book in less than a week. It’s funny but also very grown!! Violet is in her 30s trying to find love & balance her work life. The author was very detailed in the intimate moments Violet had with her man! Just a FYI !!!

Violet was quite annoying, while Eli remained a sweetheart. The ending was what I expected. Thank you!
