This is the most enjoyable cookbook I have ever seen. No only are the recipes to die for, the stories are hilarious and the pictures are beautiful. Very clear directions. Great for beginners or seasoned cooks.

I am in love with this cookbook. The recipes are basic enough for most people with ingredients that are easy to find and oh so scrumptious.. It's full of some really great homestyle comfort food recipes but the pictures throughout the book are very delightful as well. If you have this on your iPad and leave it lying around on the coffee table for friends to see you may just have to let them borrow it because the recipes here are that good. I have been a chef for a very long time and have a huge collection of cookbooks in my house but this one is just so much fun to look at and read. Each and every recipe is really presented so the new cook or the old chef can have a fun time in the kitchen and always want to come back for more. You may have seen Ree on talk shows or read her blog and if your a fan or not you will be after seeing this cookbook. Thanks Ree!

I have a few cookbooks that I have bought through out the years, but I can actually say this is my go to cookbook. I have made a few meals, lasagna(awesome), pot roast( delicious), meatloaf, chicken spaghetti, chili, and other authentic recipes. The reason I bought this book because of the step by step pics she had used. (I also read the book from cover to cover)

Until I met Ree's blog and then her book I was a one trick pony in the kitchen. I have cooked everyday for 6 weeks from this book. The instructions and pictures make it so easy and the ingredients are everyday pantry items. I look to her blog daily for inspiration and the only thing bad about the iPad version is I can't share the book with my friends!

If you only buy one cookbook this year it should be this one. Easy to follow recipes resulting in delicious dinners your family will love.

My mom received this as a gift and I loved it, so she got me my own copy! In addition to fabulous recipes, she tells a story throughout the cookbook also! The pictures are beautiful and I love it so much- it's the cookbook that sits out all the time! Some of my family's favorites: Pico de Gallo, Sour cream pancakes, potato skins, burgundy mushrooms - I'm getting hungry!

This is one of the first books I bought on my iPad. It's also the first cookbook I've read from cover to cover like a novel. Ree (I feel like I know her to call her by her first name) truly knows what my mother raised me with; "whole cooking", which means everything is from scratch and not low fat this or imitation that. I haven't cooked anything from the book yet, but my mouth watered when reading these recipes! The pictures & instructions will ensure even the most novice cook can bring these recipes to life with no problem. I also loved her missives about her family & life on a ranch. Makes one want to go out & buy some worn boots, jeans and a cowboy hat and live that true and hearty lifestyle. Thanks, Ree, for letting us live vicariously thru your book! Can't wait to try these recipes!

The formatting was not compatible with the ipad. You will do a lot of flipping back and forth. However the recipes are worth all the page turning.

I saw her on several shows (The View, Bonny Hunt) everyone liked her recipes, so I thought I'd try her book. I just love it, not only are the recipes fab, the pictures are beautiful of her life and family. I have always liked simple but really good tasting food, this is one great recipe book.
