Oaths sworn . . . loyalties tested . . . forces collide... Eragon is the greatest hope to rid the land of tyranny. Can this once simple farm boy unite the rebel forces and defeat the king? Following the colossal battle against the Empire's warriors, Eragon and his dragon, Saphira, have narrowly escaped with their lives. Still, there is more adventure at hand for the Rider and his dragon, as Eragon finds himself bound by a tangle of promises he may not be able to keep.

When unrest claims the rebels and danger strikes from every corner, Eragon must make choices-choices that will take him across the Empire and beyond, choices that may lead to unimagined sacrifice.

This book made me feel like I was part of a whole new world! I wonder why it was never turned into a major motion picture. Can’t wait to read to next in the series.

The book is very good! I have seen many reviews that say Christopher’s style of writing is too long winded and over explanatory, however it is FULLY needed to give the depth and lore needed to really enjoy the book. 10/10 read!

Christopher Paolini's ever graceful style of writing has gotten me in its clutches for the THIRD TIME! I read Eragon and Eldest already and am nearly done with Brisingr. As soon as I finished Eragon (which took me like, 2 days) I went and bought Eldest. When I finished that I immediately bought Brisingr. Now I will buy Inheritance as soon as I complete Brisingr. And after that, I will punch the people who made the Eragon movie.

This was a great book!! I read the first two of the Eragon series in book form and to have the third right on my phone wherever I go is great!! It is so worth the $10!! Reading the fourth, Inheritance, and supposedly that one is good but it had a bad cliff-hanging ending. Good luck reading!
