Description

Sean Reilly and Tess Chaykin, the heroes of Raymond Khoury's New York Times bestselling Templar novels, return in an edge-of-your-seat thriller that reaches from the present day back to 1700s Mexico—and beyond…

What if there was a drug, previously lost to history in the jungles of Central America, capable of inducing an experience so momentous—and so shocking—that it might shake the very foundations of Western civilization?

What if powerful forces on both sides of the law launched a ruthless, no-holds-barred pursuit to get their hands on it?

What if FBI agent Sean Reilly and archaeologist Tess Chaykin were the only ones who could stop the unthinkable from happening?

And what if they’re already too late?

The writing style in this the 3rd in his 4 book series seems to vary from the first two. Not sure what this is all about. The book story was good, but the writing keep me off pace. Hoping the last I this series reads better.

I enjoyed Khoury's previous books but was very disappointed with this one. The story was too far fetched and it made it difficult to get absorbed into the book. Usually Khoury's books are fun because there is a kernel of truth to the central plot idea, which makes the story seem plausible. Without introducing any spoilers, I can just say that this book was way out there and hard to finish! Also, the middle of the book dragged on for too long.

All of khoury's books are cut from the Cussler cloth. Quick, addicting, fun and mindless. I enjoyed all of them. Books don't need deep inner meaning to be good... Just entertaining.
