I read Meg Meeker's book, 'Strong Fathers, Strong Daughters' before I read this. I was very disappointed in Bringing Up Girls. It was mostly just stories about families experiences, not facts / data from studies. I found many his arguments to be weak and very hard line conservative, which I am not. In all, I would strongly recommend Meg Meeker's book over this one. It is much better written and more well thought out.
