Description

In New York Times bestselling author Janet Chapman’s magical town of Spellbound Falls, anything can happen, even love that defies time itself…

While building a wilderness trail for a new five-star resort in Spellbound Falls, underachieving playboy Alec MacKeage rescues a beautiful woman who is being chased by kidnappers and agrees to let her hide out with him for a few days. But when those days stretch past a week, Alec finds himself fighting his attraction to the mysterious Jane Smith—despite knowing the woman isn’t who she claims to be. Then again, neither is he…

On the run from her own life, Jane is really Carolina Oceanus—and she’ll do anything to avoid the six ancient-minded men her father has brought to Maine to vie for her hand in marriage. But as the maddening competition heats up, Carolina realizes that she’ll have to come clean to Alec, the seductive loner who’s managed to capture her heart…

Whole series: I started out thinking the writing in these book as very simplistic, almost as if a younger or first time author wrote them. As I kept reading, I found myself entertained. They are a nice break from daily life, even if not the deepest books on the shelf. I am enjoying them!

This book was an okay read but I did find that it took me a while to read it unlike the other books in this series. At least it does mention some of the other characters from previous books and a little of what has been happening with them.

I want a refund. Quit reading out of sheer boredom after 100 pages.

I really can't get enough of this series. The characters 🐶🐳 are amazing and have just enough of the magical ingredients to make you want so much more. I have had a very hard time putting these books down, often staying up until 4am before realizing the time and how much I was going to regret the lack of sleep when the alarm was set to go off 3 hours later. Oops! I missed the previous book until last week, and after finishing it, went out to see when the this book was due out - which was that same day! What luck 🍀 It was great to read both books back to back, now I only wish I wouldn't have to wait until March 🌾 for the next installment. It will be well worth the wait though, based on the excerpt at the end of the book. 😃 Thank you for writing these 🌟 wonderful ✨ stories 📖 Janet!
