Perhaps one of Judy Blume's best works. For those that wish to learn of death, and the sorrow that accompanies it, I recommend this book. To those who want a realistically driven story with characters as sympathetic and life like as its author I also recommend this book. I personally have lost several family members, and despite the years that have passed since those losses I feel that this story of a young girl from California has somehow given me an iota of closure. This was one of the best books I've read and towards the end it really had me hooked on and I finished it in 2 days! I don't like reading at all but this book was amazing!
