Description

From #1 New York Times bestselling author John Flanagan comes the story that brings the Ranger's Apprentice series full-circle and ushers in a brand new arc starring Maddie, the Royal Ranger!

Will Treaty has come a long way from the small boy with dreams of knighthood. Life had other plans for him, and as an apprentice Ranger under Halt, he grew into a legend—the finest Ranger the kingdom has ever known. Yet Will is facing a tragic battle that has left him grim and alone. To add to his problems, the time has come to take on an apprentice of his own, and it’s the last person he ever would have expected: Princess Madelyn, the daughter of Princess Cassandra. Will has to win the trust and respect of his difficult new companion—a task that at times seems almost impossible.

John Flanagan returns to conclude the series that has conquered millions of readers worldwide with this pulse-pounding adventure that brings one era to a close,  ushers in the next, starting the series anew starring Maddie, the Royal Ranger.

For fans of Tolkien, Redwall, Game of Thrones, and T.H. White, Ranger's Apprentice delivers fantasy-adventure thrills with real-world historical details.

  • Why so quick?

By if you want to be happy
Alyss and Will get married at the end of The Lost Stories. Then, right off the bat, she’s dead. They had 15 years together and John didn’t write about that at all! If you read this John, I would like it if you wrote a book between The lost Stories and The Royal Ranger: A New Beginning about the time Alyss and Will had together before her tragic death. 😥

I love the suspense and action of this book.Maddie had a great character development.I would’ve been a perfect book If Alyss didn’t die.I felt like that was a stupid death even though it was honorable.

It feels kind of abrupt. John, you had a great ending with the 11th book. A kind of happily ever after. But you spoiled that with this book. Now I want to at least see the ending of Maddie's apprenticeship. If you can just finish Maddie's apprenticeship I would be happy. But other than that it was a great book.

This was a good book, but why did Alyss have to die? Why couldn't she have been off on a mission or something? Why!

While these books have followed me through the years I knew they would eventually have to end, and while I'm not thrilled I don't know that it could have been done any better. Very sad to be putting the last rangers apprentice book down, but I'm left with very good memories and ideals the series has instilled on me.....and I'll be rereading them until I can recite every word by heart!

If you haven't read this plz stop at this review because the ones below contain spoilers This book gives a pulse to a recently dead series of books and has really power events that connects to make some interesting story arc. Just remember that Flanagan could have left the ranger apprentice series in its grave so just feel privileged you got one more
