  • The morgue story was apalling. Otherwise, I'd given it 5 stars.

I wasn't an Elvis fan, but I'm a Pricilla fan.

Was very detailed through the first half of the book, then quickly went to vague details. It was an interesting read. Good, little piece of history for those Elvis lovers; or those wanting to learn more of their union.
  • Breath taking!

This book is a mix of a biography, love story and a tragic tale. As an Elvis fan I had a great read from another perspective of his life. Any old time music lover should read this and take a dive into history!

I loved reading Priscilla’s viewpoint. She was very honest and you could tell how much she truly loved Elvis. He must have been a very interesting person to have known. I have always been curious about him since I was born a year and a half after he died. I always have had a fascination of him, his music, and his films.

You can tell the respect Priscilla holds for Elvis just in the words she uses here. She captivate me audience using raw in real moments. She humanized Elvis Presley in this book without exploiting him. Addressing her own faults and his in a human way. you really feel like you grow to know Elvis while reading the book
  • I love Priscilla Presley

I wish more of this book was spent on Priscilla talking about finding herself while she was married to Elvis. More than half of the book is spent talking about the years he spent grooming her since she was 14 years old. He told her how to dress, sit, walk, and basically everything everything else. Then after a couple years of Marriage, Priscilla began to find her identity and her personality outside of how Elvis taught her to be. These parts of the book were the best to me because it made me so happy for, but she didn’t spend much time talking about her new found growth at this point in her life which was kind of sad to me. I ended up despising Elvis by the end of this book, which any sane person would do. If you love Elvis Presley, you should read this. If you hate Elvis Presley, you should read this. If you have no idea who Elvis Presley is you should read this.

I liked how Pricilla kept it real about her and Elvis from beginning to the end I even can relate to her when it came down to wanting just be with her significant other missing them and dealing with infidelity.
