Description

I’m the potential heir to a billionaire’s fortune. The only problem? My grandfather demands that I give him a great grandchild in order to take the reins. My goal becomes clear as day: get a wife and a baby to wrest control of the family company. That’s when pretty little Talia enters in my life. See, she’s already pregnant and in distress, not knowing how she will take care of her baby. And I sink my claws in to seize on the opportunity of a lifetime. I offer innocent, sweet Talia a devil’s deal. Play my doting wife. Pretend her baby is mine. Smile and fake it in front of the family, despite the fact that she may hate my gruff attitude. Rub her happiness about the sham marriage in everyone’s face. As a reward, Talia will have more money than she could ever even dream of. Diamonds will drip from her neck. Gold will adorn her wrists. Cold hard cash will keep her warm at night for the rest of her life. Her baby will have only the finest things and my last name as shelter. I won’t take no for an answer. All Talia has to do is say yes… till death do we part.

Hate the ending. Feels like you didn’t want to finish the book

If you follow the emotional progression of this series, it’s not bad. The first two books are cliffhangers. However, I don’t think these books were ever reviewed by an editor. The timeline progression doesn’t make sense. You get into an elevator in one building and come out in another. The assistant’s name changes at the beginning of the second book but then changes back a few chapters later. Chapter 35 of the third book contains two sections headed “New Chapter.” The problems make them very hard to read. The main characters are good, though, so I gave an extra star for that. But the whole series needs some serious revamping.

    Left as a cliff hanger.

This book made me laugh from incredulity. It is so poorly written it wouldn’t even get a passing grade in a 4th grade classroom. It’s laughable.

Not worth your time, or mine. The ‘sex’ scenes are hard to read, cringe worthy honestly. This drags on forever restating and rephrasing the same things over and over and over - I dragged myself through 6 (5?) chapters and finally stopped torturing myself. She’s poor, we get it, he’s rich, we get it. It doesn’t take over 100 pages to understand that. Good girl who immediately turns into a sex pot out of no where? Does it happen, sure - but the ‘unfolding’ of this story is extremely unnatural. Am I down for cussing in stories? Absolutely! But not when it used 7 hundred times in a three paragraph run on. Snotty ex’s and charming best friends… very predictable. The idea is there, it’s just a horrendous execution. Don’t waste your time.

So, this was pretty wow lol. Filled with twists & turns, angst & deception, and all the things that keep you glued to your kindle. And of course, all sorts of dysfunction going on. It kept me turning that page…until that ending, which I didn’t realize was the first of a trilogy. So now we wait…hopefully for too long
  • A great start to a new trilogy.

The first book in the Married at Midnight trilogy, Deal with the Devil was a dark, delicious and a great start to Dare and Talia’s journey. Talia first taste of the Morgan family gives her a surprise that finds Dare in her life. He needs her to take over the Morgan empire and with her surprise it puts him on the top, but will she agree with the deal? An enjoyable start with a storyline full of twists and surprises that will keep you flipping the pages until the end. I can’t wait to see what happens next!

This was a good story and I would have enjoyed it more if I had known it ended in a Cliffhanger !! I would never have bought this book had I known it was going to end in a Cliffhanger . I thought about buying the other books but decided against it.
