Description

Dylan Thorne.
Wallflower. Girl next door. Best friend’s little sister.
All right, best friend might be a bit of a stretch, but Griffin’s my roommate, the captain for LAU’s hockey team, and a pretty decent guy.
His right hand man, however, hates me.
Then again, I have a feeling we’re both interested in the same girl, so I guess I can’t blame him.
I'd almost feel bad for being interested in Dylan and stepping on Everett's toes if he didn't have a leg up in the situation, already.
Everett’s been a family friend of Dylan’s for her entire life, and I’m an outsider.
I’m also too much of a jerk to back off after Dylan gives me a taste of her innocence.
So. Damn. Sweet.
Besides, she’s cute when she blushes, and I’ve never been afraid to go after what I want, even if it means putting my future on the line.
And now, I want her.

It was slow and the climax/story decreases a lot after the first book

I finished this book in 3 days after the 6 years of me not reading I got into this one and soon get into more of Kelsie Rae’s books.

She’s done it again, though this time I didn’t spend 2 hours crying, but I definitely couldn’t put it down. Oh my goodness, I love how well the author is able to transport me into her books, to feel the emotions portrayed by her books. I’m a sucker for some emotions, especially in an amazing love story like this one. I’m so excited to read the next one, it’s got me on my toes!

After reading “A Little Complicated” and falling in love with the characters especially Reeves. It was great to get to hear more of his story. This book kept me giggling while the first book made me cry. I love them both so much and will be reading them again!

I adore this book… it might be my new favorite. I love Reeves and I love Dylan and I absolutely love them together. It’s just a precious duo & I’m sad I can’t read this book for the first time again.

I have been (not so patiently) waiting for this book and considering I started it Feb 29 and finished it on March 2…you can tell how much I ATE this book up! While reading a A Little Complicated, I knew I loved Reeves automatically. Then when Dylan was introduced and they started developing? I knew I was gonna love their book. The whole push and pull, will they won’t they, theme is so captivating. I’ve never read a book like it. The humor and underlying angst to this book was just *chefs kiss* Dylan. it honestly felt like Kelsie took my personality and made Dylan. From relating to her anxiety to flat out being like “oh this is so something I would say”. I just felt so connected with her and I was rooting for her and Reeves (together and separately) SO hard, the whole time. The slow burn was truly slow burning. It was also refreshing to see a (former) play boy not run and be scared of his feelings for the first time. I feel like every time I read a book with this trope, they’re always saying “why do i care so much?” but seeing Reeves fully accept and fall completely into his feelings for Dylan was so refreshing. I mean dude even said he’s not afraid of the chase. MANS WAS WILLING TO FIGHT TO FOR HER. Like ??? Obviously he’s now one of my favorite book boyfriends ever. I’m such a huge fan of Kelsie and all of her books, she’s never disappointed me, in fact she did something I thought could never happen. Most of the time, when I make my mind up about a character, it sticks. But Everett…. *spoiler* I did not like Everett in the beginning or pretty much the whole book up until the very end and even then I was still skeptical but when I found out his book was the next one in the series? I threw my fist up in the air like that scene from The Breakfast Club. I’m so excited to see what Kelsie has in store for him and Raine (love that name btw) but even more excited to just see him grow and develop and if anybody can change my mind about a boy… it’s Kelsie Rae.
  • Reeves stole my heart!

A Little Tempting stole my heart! Really, Reeves stole my heart over and over again. He definitely is the whole package rolled into one. He’s cocky and confident but broken and vulnerable too. Then in the same breath, he’s determined and sweet with a heart of gold. Reeves doesn’t let the way he grew up turn him into a mean, heartless person. If anything it makes him more loving and protective of others. He really brings Dylan out of her shy, stay under the radar self. It’s beautiful to witness as she comes into her own, as a sweet, funny and strong women. The fire in her soul as she protects her man no matter what is amazing to see. I couldn’t get enough of the movie quotes, the photos, his first name, the hoodies, the jersey or the conversation with Dylan’s mom! What an emotional rollercoaster this was and I didn’t want to get off the ride! I never went out of my way to read hockey romances until Kelsie wrote them and now I’m obsessed with hers. I literally count the days until her next one comes out! By the way, I have a new found appreciation of all things pickles and I want Oliver Reeves to love me for the rest of my life!
