For those addicted to prolific filmmaker-artist-writer Miranda July it could turn out that this truly limited reprint is the seminal piece to have. "I know I’m telling the same story I’ve been telling since I was seven" reveals Miranda in a short story about her life and motivations published in Du Magazine. Here is the reprint of Miranda's first (and eternal) story, which she wrote and designed as an illustrated book at age seven. Lost Child! is about a girl (with really weird arms) getting lost because she is following a voice that comes from the skies. Never before this beautiful artifact has been published. And most likely it never will be again. When Miranda showed this book to me in her studio in Silverlake, I was stunned. It made me think about the incredible potential kids have in seeing the future and that there are grown-ups who keep this imagination. All the best to Miranda. Text by Hannes Grassegger
