Description

This book can be one of the better books that give you the pleasure of reading in a really long time. It seems like most of the personal development stuff out there is all so “law of attraction” focused. Positivity is the essence of most of it, and is a topic that, though important, is exhausted and flat. This book focuses differently, which is unique. Wake Up and Live puts personal success into perspective, and allows the reader to step-by-step identify the why’s: Why people fail, why they want to succeed, and why they aren’t succeeding. What sets this apart from other books, is the substance. One of favorite things about it was the lesson that people act as if they’re going to live forever, which leads to procrastination. We tend not to see into the distant future, because, especially in the generation, we’re focused on instant gratification. Though this isn’t directly mentioned in the book (it was published in 1936), the message applies to any time, any person, or any goal.
