The Dance
A short story by John Lucas. The Dance follows the night of two spies from different parts of the world. At first each of them has no knowledge of the other's existence, until they finally meet and both realize that they will need each other to complete their mission.
The Café
A short story by John Lucas. The Café is a place trapped in both time and space, traveling on its own accord without any notice by anyone. This story visits the lives of four different individuals and how their tragedies and triumphs influence their decisions over the many years.
The Storm
A short story by John Lucas. The Storm is a story about an old man and his dog as they attempt to traverse a dangerous ocean that no one has successfully crossed before. As the storm becomes angry at their crossing, it attempts to throw the two off course and sink the ship from which they so greatly rely upon.
The River
A short story by John Lucas. The River follows the thoughts of a man who sits alone every day at the very same place against the water. Although he has his own ideas of interpreting the bustling life around him, this all changes when his day is interrupted by a mysterious woman of whom he had never noticed before.
The Playground
A short story by John Lucas. The Playground tells the flashback story of a man's childhood, who currently works in a gray city with a boring job. After retelling his flashback, the man comes to a realization about the meaning behind growing up and leaving your childhood behind.
