Description

The national bestseller and direct tie-in to the new game expansion pack Warlords of Draenor—a thrilling novel set in the universe of the record-breaking, internationally bestselling video game World of Warcraft!

The brutal siege of Orgrimmar is over. Alliance and Horde forces have stripped Garrosh Hellscream, one of the most reviled figures on Azeroth, of his title as warchief. His thirst for conquest devastated cities, nearly tore the Horde apart, and destroyed countless lives.

Now, on the legendary continent of Pandaria, he will stand trial for his transgressions. Renowned leaders from across the world have gathered to witness this historic event. As the trial unfolds, agents of the bronze dragonflight present shocking visions of Garrosh’s atrocities. For many of those in attendance, these glimpses into history force them to relive painful memories and even question their own innocence or guilt. For others, the chilling details stoke the flames of their hatred.

Unbeknownst to anyone, shadowy forces are at work on Azeroth, threatening not only the court’s ability to mete out justice…but also the lives of everyone at the trial.

Last year I got heavily into Warcraft’s lore and began reading numerous books written by Christie Golden for Blizzard. I’ve always fallen asleep reading until I began reading these books written by this specific author. Because I read many of the books with back story for characters in this story there was so much attachment. This book really portrays the humanity of the characters in World of Warcraft well. I can not put into words how emotionally attached I felt while reading this and how angry yet sympathetic I felt toward some of the characters. The main idea of Garrosh being on trial and knowing characters I’ve grown with- hear and see these crimes against themselves play out in front of friends and foes a like, is incredible. Breathtaking game- Breathtaking book. I annoy everyone around me by bragging on the life lessons I learn everytime I open ibooks and read a warcraft book. (I like to think I too make an impression through spreading the good word) I will also tell friends, my boyfriend, and family members back story of characters and how incredibly strong each character is and inspiring to me. I strive to be as courageous and honorable as these characters.
