After seeing the excellent documentary "Jorodowsky's Dune" I became interested in this comic series. Especially when Jorodowsky said that that many ideas from his aborted Dune movie ended up in this series. If you are familiar with his movies EL TOPO or HOLY MOUNTAIN you'll have some idea what to expect here. Inspired, allegorical, hokey, immature, fantastic. It's a wild mixed bag all held together by the art of Moebius which is masterful. The coloring is incredible as well, especially by Isabelle Beaument-Joannet. The weakest entry is book four but the climatic book six is great.
