All strangers to the grace of God, who have never feasted at the Gospel banquet, Charles H. Spurgeon (1834-1892) invites to come to Christ while “yet there is room”. Where is there room? In the fountain opened for sin and uncleanness, in that chariot of love which carries the washed saints all the way to heaven, in the Father’s great adoptive family. And for your soul’s solace there is room for you in heaven. When is there room? Generations upon generations have marched along the Gospel road with the passage of time; but “yet there is room” for millions more. Why is there room? Because Christ offered an infinite sacrifice for the redemption of His people. Marvel at the vastness and grand design of God’s decree of election. Consider the power of Jesus’ plea and of the Holy Spirit’s agency. But if you will not consider, remember that if you will not have a room in heaven you will have a room in hell. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. It is impossible for you to believe and yet be lost.
