Description

The fourth novel in the #1 New York Times and #1 USA Today bestselling Crossfire series.

Gideon calls me his angel, but he’s the miracle in my life. My gorgeous, wounded warrior, so determined to slay my demons while refusing to face his own.

The vows we'd exchanged should have bound us tighter than blood and flesh. Instead they opened old wounds, exposed pain and insecurities, and lured bitter enemies out of the shadows. I felt him slipping from my grasp, my greatest fears becoming my reality, my love tested in ways I wasn’t sure I was strong enough to bear.

At the brightest time in our lives, the darkness of his past encroached and threatened everything we’d worked so hard for. We faced a terrible choice: the familiar safety of the lives we’d had before each other or the fight for a future that suddenly seemed an impossible and hopeless dream...

I’m a sexual abuse survivor. Sandra Day’s books about sex and romance have been part of my healing journey for several years. They trigger at first and then they help with healing. It’s been an interesting journey reading and healing. But overall, I’m really grateful for her stories during these steps. If you wants a deep romance with provocative sexual encounters, give this series a try.

First and foremost, i felt myself and an imaginary audience cheer when i heard Gideon’s voice/perspective. Additionally, Day wrote in one of my favorite styles of writing, finally allowing us to almost get a 360 view of the Cross relationship. In all transparency, I wasn’t the hugest fan of book 1 because of it’s similarity to the 50 shades series… but as I’m reading the Crossfire series, I get further and further from that belief. Urgggg starting the last book as I TYPEEEE. Byeeee

I’ve read some of the reviews on here and I have to say I disagree completely with any negative reviews. The relationship does have it’s dark parts, but it’s part of their character growth. The characters grow so much together and on their on in this series. It hits deep issues but still, remains sexy and intriguing. I couldn’t let the book go, I’ve read the series multiple times and always enjoy it.

A filler book!! No importance, I felt like this book was just written to make the author more money... And she has another book after this.ugh. Sad because I really liked this story in the first two books. Save your money :(

The continuation of Cross and Eva is outstanding! To see them struggle through the love, hard times, mistakes made and to come out the other side whole and better is amazing. Sylvia takes you on a roller coaster ride with these 2 characters and leaves you begging for more. I can't wait to see what happens next and pray for a good ending for these two.

Books one and two were amazing. This one was ok. Some of the intensity is gone in this one. Their love is still strong which is good. I am keeping my fingers crossed that it will be better in the last book of this series.

Sylvia, your series would have been phenomenal if you had stopped at the trilogy...but for whatever reason you kept it going...long drawn out and boring...confusing too...I will not purchased book 5...sorry to say, but you lost a fan...not that you care...over priced with less and lesser pages...smh 😡😡😡😡😡😤😤😤
