This book grabbed my attention at page one. The story was well developed and the Noah and Jenny were sparking from their first encounter. I loved Noah and Jenny but I also loved the way Finn, Vaughn and Amber became part of the story equally as engaging. This book left me believing in love, fate and friendship.
Loved!

At first when I was reading the sample I wasn’t too sure but then I literally didn’t want to stop reading the book. It was so good
A two star rating is generous

Finally done. Like pulling teeth. Gave two stars for the best friends. Loved Finn and Vaughn. Hilarious. Jenny had no self esteem. Noah/ Preston had childhood issues. How are they a couple. I felt nothing for these two. There was more passion between Dolly and Ranger. Such a boring couple. I actually skipped several chapters to finish. Thank goodness for comic relief Finn and Vaughn.
Hooked from page one

Soooo good! This was my first time reading this author and I fell in love. I couldn't stop laughing at the zip tie scene. Haha. Light hearted, funny and steamy. Just the right amount of each. Now I'm off to find more from Lauren Layne.
love it!!

LOVVVVVED IT!!!
Both books in this series have been hit for me!
I thought is was sweet and cute as well as edgy and steamy!
I loved Jenny and Noah. They had me hooked from page one.
Jenna is a famous country singer who is in the tabloids for all the wrong reason. She is going crazy with all the bad press. It is effecting her ability to write a new hit record. So, she picks herself up and returns back to Louisnina. That is where her inspiration is.
In Luoisinina she meets Noah. Class A jerk, who somehow wins Jenny and my heart throughout the story. Noah pretends he is someone he is not because he doesn't was Jenny or anyone else to know his true identity. Like Jenny, he is trying to get away from things and just be "normal" again.
I loved the intensity between Jenny and Noah. It was love/hate until it became just love. I thought it was a great read!!
I loved every second of this book so much I finished and immediately started reading again.

It's no secret that I love Lauren Layne books, but this book is so much more than that. Every word, every page was special. It was so beautifully written, full of heart, heat and the things we expect (and some we don't, in a good way) from a Lauren Layne novel, that i was blown away.
My Thoughts
Jenny Dawson has been dubbed America's Sweetheart by the media and hounded by the paparazzi. I love that she is so down to earth and a still a country girl at heart. It was fun seeing her prove everyone wrong about the preconceptions they had about her. Actually I loved everything about Jenny. If I could have a book character be a real friend I would definitely choose Jenny Dawson. She is smart, funny, fun, not afraid to get dirty, and full of sass. And Noah talk about a dreamy brooding hero.
I loved every second of this book so much I finished and immediately started reading again. Even the side characters of this book are amazing. I highly recommend picking this book up, you will not regret it.
Adorable!

Loved reading this funny, sweet, adorable romance, that also had some serious sizzling heat. I could not put this story down. Both characters are well developed and real and I loved the storyline. Written in dual POV that I enjoy.
Jenny Dawson is country music's favorite good girl. After her second album went platinum last year, she moved to LA for her career, away from her family and friends. After a serious of Tabloid scandals that make her out to be possibly pregnant as well as a home wrecker with a pop star she barely met, she decides to skip town and all the craziness and concentrate on her next album.
Noah Maxwell Preston Walcott Jr. has just broken up with his Fiancé, after finding out she has been cheating on him for the last year. Tired of always doing what he is suppose to and being someone that everybody else thinks he should be, he is looking for some time alone to figure what, he wants to do all by himself.
After receiving a email from Jenny Dawson country music star, requesting to rent some space in a run down mansion that he wasn't even aware that he owned, him and his friends quickly try to get it back into living conditions. But when Jenny shows up early in Glory Louisiana, and conveniently thinks that his friend is the owner, Noah lets her think that he is the caretaker. He has had enough of women thinking of him as a bank account.
But what starts off as some serious verbal arguing between them, becomes more like foreplay. And as the nights start to sizzle with some serious heat and sizzling chemistry, these two just might be what the other is looking for. But with secrets between them will they make it work? You will have to read to find out. Fantastic Ending! Loved this adorable, sweet romance.
Highly recommended.

Ms Layne has done it again, made my heart sigh with her masterful character combination of Noah and Jenny. I have yet to come across another author who creates characters who are so dynamic, and life like with a depth only found outside of print.
Noah and Jenny's story not only contains the heartwarming moments, with the perfect mixture of humor and banter that I've come to expect from Ms Layne's characters, but there's the addition of the two of them being so different in their personalities, gruff and surly alpha vs America's sweetheart who sings like an angel, that the pair make for an engaging read that you just don't want to end. As far endings to the perfect romance go, I couldn't have asked for it to end any other way, it is pretty flawless.

So, I’ve not been reading an abundance of NA titles of late, and I do adore Layne’s dialogue with her characters, so this was a welcome retreat. While the story doesn’t have a TON of new and different, it’s the characters, particularly Jenny, Dolly and Ranger were just wonderful – full of life and light.
Jenny is a country singer, moved to the west coast to take advantage of her newfound fame, she’s hating LA and can’t write. Making things worse is the obsession with all things celebrity, and the not so kind (or always honest) press. When a photograph becomes the basis for a lie that is then validated by another seeking their 15 minutes, life becomes unbearable and she dashes off to rural Louisiana to hide, write and regroup.
Arriving at the rental property, she is met by 3 friends: Vaughn, Finn and Noah, and her little toy Pomeranian Dolly Parton is gleefully addressed and loved on by the Labrador Ranger. Then the fun begins: Noah is actually Preston Walcott (his story is revealed as the story continues) and the owner, but he presses his friend Vaughn forward as owner, and claims to be a caretaker. A grumpy, short-tempered, scowly caretaker with a smart mouth and an instant judgment of Jenny.
Bolder (and more forgiving than she should be) Jenny is reasonably confident in who she is, and what she is good at. Determined to reclaim some of the magic from the old estate where she once was able to write and create voraciously, she is focused ONLY on writing her music and disappearing.
Now for the issues. Noah dives quickly into stereotypical cranky hedgehog with all his prickles out, and by lying to Jenny from the get-go, he’s on shaky ground. He’s wanting something less constrictive for him than the life his newfound father thrust upon him, but after shedding a fiancé that sticks like mold, he’s still not dealt with any of his own issues. In fact, he just throws out barbs and insults with precision – all aimed at Jenny, who didn’t deserve it. Sure, there’s chemistry, but OMG Jenny showed her immaturity with TWICE being made to feel “dirty’ and still offering him another chance. Yes, the sex is hot and steamy, but the early moments did leave me feeling like Jenny – a bit used, a bit unsure, and Noah’s brusque attitude don’t work.
So it is a bit of a mixed bag – where the action between Noah and Jenny is often rescued by the dogs, bringing the focus back to the moments of dialogue that add humor, information and sweetness to their story.
I received an eArc copy of the title from the publisher via NetGalley for purpose of honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own responsibility.
