Many important improvements have been made in the science and practice of dentistry in small animal practice over the last decade. These have included updates in terminology used to identify an animal’s teeth, the incorporation of digital radiography in the diagnosis of different dental abnormalities, the development of a comprehensive series of protocols used to completely evaluate, treat and prevent dental diseases in dogs and cats, and the use of specific nerve blocks as a mean to improve provision of analgesia in veterinary patients. This interactive book was developed to highlight these improvements.
