Kachinlifestories is pleased to introduce Kachinlifestories Biographies, Memoirs and Genealogies, the sister series to Kachinlifestories Anthologies. In the academic sense, the series is an attempt to make available recollections of the past (perhaps it should be “pasts?”) through the extended accounts of ordinary individuals and webs of genealogies; and through their own individually centered volitions. Kachinlifestories Biographies, Memoirs and Genealogies relies on the biographical, in all its possible renditions, to implore readers to take a more personal, crowd-based, multiple and bottom-up approach to understand the uncollective past of a group of people called Kachin. Each volume represents a more personal and slightly extended dedication to the life stories of the self, the loved ones and the lineage.
