Justify Me: A Stark International/Masters and Mercenaries Novella

Stubborn women are my favorite characters to read, probably because I am one. Natasha is one of the most stubborn women in the Stark universe and I love the way Riley comes in and takes over her world to break down those walls. I would’ve loved more backstory on these two and their history. It is mentioned, but I’d love to see it written. As it is, these two are hot and so right for each other. Can’t wait to see how the rest of this crossover collection with Lexi Blake turns out.

Wonderfully sexy suspenseful short story. When Riley finds out Natasha is in danger, he drops everything and steps up to be her bodyguard. Natasha is afraid to let Riley back into her life. She pushed him away after her father died even though her feelings for him ran deep. They need to work together to find her stalker which sends them to a BDSM club that seems to have started the problem. This allows Natasha to open herself up to Riley in new ways and embrace her submissive side. As they unravel this mystery, will they open themselves to the love they have both been denying?

Justify Me by J. Kenner is part of the Masters & Mercenaries Crossover Collection. Riley Blade hates Los Angeles. It has memories and connections that he would rather forget. High on that list is Natasha Black, movie star Lyle Tarpin's assistant. When he is enticed into doing a quick job in LA for McKay-Taggart during a flight layover he is ready to be out and done and off on vacation, but when he is asked for a recommendation for personal security to protect Natasha, he knows no one will do as good a job as Riley himself. As they dig deeper into who is stalking Tasha the connection between Tasha and Riley heats up quickly. Their shared history, once keeping them apart, brings them closer together. Justify Me by J. Kenner is a fast and fun story. The fire between them is only tempered by the danger of Tasha's stalker. As Riley brings out more of Tasha's hidden wants and desires their passion grows exponentially. Overall I recommend Justify Me. It was a quick read, but one that had it all. I'm not a huge fan of novellas. It's really hard to fit in the meeting, the drama and the falling in love in such a short amount of time. But this one worked. It was a bit fast paced. I was a bit concerned with the BDSM standpoint. I'm a bit over the 50 Shades era. But it ended up being a lite version so the issue was short lived.

Riley and Tasha meet because her father is in same FBI Swat team as her father. There is an instant attraction.When her father is killed during a mission, Riley asks Tasha on a date but she can’t. They both go on with life but neither forget the other. When Tasha starts receiving threats against her Riley is brought in to keep an eye on her and find out who is doing this. Will they be able to ignore attraction when they go to a club where they have to pretend to be a couple? Will Riley be able to keep Tasha safe? Will Tasha let herself be with Riley? I loved this book from start to finish.

Oh man! I so enjoyed how J. Kenner's Stark world intertwined with Lexi's McKay-Taggart world! Can we say match made in heaven?! I want more! ha. Natasha is someone from Riley's past and when the chance to protect her arises, he doesn't hesitate. I enjoyed the second chance romance in this book. And I felt like I needed more than a novella for these two! I wanted more Riley and Natasha. But I'll take what my greedy bookworm hands can get! Someone is after her and McKay-Taggart is contact and Riley is hired to watch out for her and find out who is behind it. They haven't seen each other in awhile and while life has gone on, it's like no time has been apart for them. The chemistry between them was believable and something they couldn't ignore this time. Their story was sweet and I couldn't devour this book fast enough! Grab your copy now!

There are times that you want a complicated read and then there are other tines that you want something that’s hot but you can read quickly. Justify Me is one of those quick reads. We met Riley and Natasha in Wicked Dirty and knew that they had to have their own story. Even though this isn’t a long book, it doesn’t feel rushed like some shorter ones do. The chemistry between Riley and Tasha is hot. If you don’t have a lot of time to read but still want something that has some meat to it, you’ll enjoy Justify Me.

I haven't read anything in Lexi Blake's Masters & Mercenaries series, but it is on my TBR! When I saw that J. Kenner was writing another story tied to the Stark series, I was all in. This is a shorter story and Riley and Natasha's story is a second chance romance. It had a lot of story in the short amount of pages and I loved watching these two fall in love again....although I would argue they never actually fell out of love. There is suspense and cameos from some of the Stark players and I loved it. It makes me want to move the Masters & Mercenaries series up on my list and live in that world, too, for a little while! I love hot, romantic suspense. Great read!

Loved, loved, loved this story! And talk about HOT!! There needs to be more Riley's in the world for sure! Riley Blade was almost outta Dodge. He hates L.A. - bad memories, and the pain of not having the one woman he wants. When he discovers Natasha's in danger, there's no one else he'll trust to protect her. Maybe he can convince her of that too. Maybe this is his second chance to show her that he'll fight for her, and this time he's never letting her go. Natasha Black knows the heartache that can come from loving someone with Riley's job. So , she pushed him away. When a stalker gets too close for comfort and Riley is the one hired to protect her, will she be able to protect her heart? I love anything Startk and this cross-over is brilliant!! I'd highly recommend this!!

What a hot, sexy, and mysterious story. Riley is trying to protect Natasha from a stalker. I have to say I was guessing to the end to who it was stalking Natasha. Justify Me is a quick read, but will worth it.
