Description

Rule #1: No hot guys.
It might sound ridiculous. I get it. It kind of was, but college was supposed to be my sanctuary. It was my place to start over. The rumors, the whispers, and the jealousy I endured through high school would all be gone.
No one would know me at college.

Rule #2: No drama.
I'd major in pre-law. I'd make a few loyal friends. Everything would be easy-breezy. No one was going to use me or hurt me. I wouldn't let them.

Rule #3: New year. New place. New me.

Right?
Wrong.
And all because of Shay Coleman.

Football captain and quarterback, he was the big guy on campus. The cocky guy in my political science class with a smirk.

I hated him on sight . . .
. . . and he was about to break all my rules.

Hate To Love You is a full-length standalone.

This book was just amazing from the beginning, the great characters, the plot, the twists, each character’s growth, all the way to the end. I love the way the book was written and how well versed the author is. There are lines that just embed themselves into your heart, such as the moment Shay professed his love to reassure Kennedy. Such a great read!

I wasn’t sure before I started this book but am I glad I did! I love Shay and Kennedy! The way Tijan wrote her characters, it’s crazy but you feel like you really get to know them. You get them and who they are, and you have this connection. Tijan has a way with words, she makes you feel them. And even now, as I’m writing this, I can stop for a moment and think of Shay or Kenz or Casey or any of the characters and crazy, but I feel them. The way wrote about Kennedy’s mom - gosh, I couldn’t stop laughing. I can read this book over and over and will enjoy it every time.

It wasn’t bad. I enjoyed reading this book up until the last 200 pages or so. It just felt like the story was dragging on even though there was nothing really happening… very slowly i might add. everything was wrapped up in the end which i liked.

I have most of Tijan’s books 📚 I love each of them! This story is good, and I love the fierceness of Kennedy. Shay is a different kind of alpha, but he is still lovable💋❤️

I would love to read more about Shay and Kennedy. I also would love to read about Casey’s story more as well. This is a great story about a girl’s troubled past and trauma she’s been through and the boy who saves and protects her. Love a happy ending! I think I have found my new favorite author.

As usual Tijan took this book in a direction I didn’t see coming. Kennedy has her reasons for being cagey and cautious but Shay breaks down her defenses. This story becomes so much more than the college quarterback and the freshman who catches his eye. There is so much more at play and when the hardest moments for Kennedy come Shay is right there staking his claim and being there any way he can for her. It all started with him messing with her to get a reaction but it turned into so much more. The proclamation of love might just be one of my favorites. Shay Coleman was so swoon worthy when he showed Kennedy how he felt.
