Description

This eBook is all about Chromatic Scales. There are many flashcards used, which will allow the reader to get to know the basic properties of Chromatic Scales. In later ebooks in this series, this knowledge will help the student learn the properties of major and minor scales. In the past, for the most part, Chromatic Scales have been invisible, which provided a large stumbling block for a new student to learn music. Usually, music teachers would use the piano keyboard which is a physical representation of the chromatic scale. With the piano keyboard, it is very difficult to show how the major and minor scales are derived from the chromatic scales, especially since this was usually attempted on the music staff, which is another stumbling block. The author believes this is the reason why most people don’t read music. The author has designed diagrams of the chromatic scale, the major scale and the minor scale.  These diagrams of the three different scales are all similar in size and shape, allowing new students to easily see how the major and minor scales have been derived from the chromatic scales. To learn music, we have to learn scales. Basically, Chromatic Scales contain all of the twelve music pitches. Major scales and minor scales each contain seven music pitches, and are based upon the Chromatic Scales. The major scales and the minor scales each take the pitches they contain from the Chromatic Scale.
