They describe what is going on behind the scenes of the music staff and are usually invisible because music is audible not visible. The original diagrams have been developed by the author and illustrate the connections from the chromatic scale to the major and minor scales and the music staff. Question and answer flashcards are used to teach people why each scale has a certain number of flats or sharps. Also flashcards are used to teach the readers to identify the name of the major or minor scale by counting the number of sharps or flats on the music staff.
