Description

She's my sister's best friend.
She thinks I've never noticed her.
She couldn't be more wrong.
Now I just need to prove it to her...before she says "I do."

You know that phrase "the one who got away"?

Well, Brooklyn Tanner is mine.

My worst mistake.

My biggest regret.

My one true love.

But as much as I wish I could take back everything I've done to hurt her, the truth remains...

I don't deserve her.

That doesn't make our situation any easier, though. After all, she's my sister's best friend. Not to mention, she buried any animosity she held toward me and helped raise my two little girls when my ex split without a single glance back.

But when I learn the man she's been dating has proposed, I'm faced with a decision.

Do I finally tell Brooklyn the reason I betrayed her trust all those years ago?

Or do I watch her marry another man to protect her from suffering any more heartache?

Find out today in this angst-filled second chance, best friend's brother romance today!

The book is very long. And goes in circles and circles!! This is my last book from this author. I don’t feel like it’s worth 800 pages!

Never have I read a romance novel written with such care. T.K. did not rush herself, her readers, nor her characters. The story unfolds just as it would if it happened to you or me. The author respects our feelings and the time we need to deal with each heartbreak Brooklyn and Andrew experience as they live their lives. I read to escape but this author didn’t let me do that. She drew me in to their lives. I got to know and understand them. She SHARED them with us. I felt their passion, fear, doubt, and disappointments. And I felt their joy and their love. Her writing has left me breathless.

It was good... but I feel like it was A LOT of repetition. Like, a lot. It got kind of old.

Loved this book! It has humor, warm, supportive family dynamic and a wonderful HEA. Enjoyed Brooke and Drew’s story, even when they doubted each other. Felt Wes’ pain but I don’t think he put Brooke first in his life. The mother character was too heavy, it was a useless distraction.
  • Great story!

I couldn’t put it down. I enjoyed the alternating POV’s in their journey to find love and forgiveness. So many real-life torments along the way kept me enthralled til the HEA.
