This runaway bride has regrets…

Nashville based musician and former cowboy Jackson Carver is back in his small town of Stone Ridge, Texas for the wedding of his older brother. He'd do anything for Lincoln, including be the best man when the maid of honor is Jackson's own runaway bride.

Eve Iglesias might have left Jackson at the altar, but at the time she had her reasons. After all this time, she hopes that they can stand together at this wedding without starting WWIII. After all, even their families are finally over the feud that she'd caused.

Only a few residents know about the secret that brought Eve back home, and she'd like to keep it that way. But living with a matchmaking granny, it isn't long before Jackson and Eve are revisiting tender feelings that never died.

But if Eve won't reveal her secret, it may be goodbye all over again for these two star-crossed lovers.

I received a complimentary copy of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing it. I would give this 10 stars if I could. I devoured this story. I was so looking forward to this one when the first one ended. It couldn’t come soon enough for me. I love this series and as it is called Men of Stone Ridge, I am hoping for many more to come; especially since the town has more men than women. Jackson left Stone Ridge years ago after being jilted at the alter by his high school sweetheart. He is only coming back to town for his older brother’s wedding (the first story of this series). The only problem he has, the maid-of-honor is his ex-fiancee! Yep nothing like having to see her for the two weeks he is in town. Eve did leave Jackson at the alter but she had her reasons. When Jackson left to join his band in Nashville the day after the non-wedding, Eve knew he placed music above her. She went to college to become a veterinarian. During college something happened. She comes back a changed woman. The town does get over their feelings of her throwing over Jackson, especially his family. This story is an emotional one. There were times when I was so heartbroken for these two characters. Just when you think the couple will get their HEA, nope the author makes them jump through more hurdles! (Yay to me as the book didn’t end!!!!) The author does a wonderful job of making them so humanized that I felt like I was right there in the middle of everything. I adored the multiple POV. That was most important when getting Eve’s side. It really helped me to connect to her. This is a sexy read. Those scenes were slightly graphic in nature so I would only highly recommend this to anyone over the age of 18.

This is the second book in the Men of Stone Ridge series. This book put my emotions through the wringer. It's well written, steamy and brought tears to my eyes. It's not hard to see that Jackson and Eve still love each other but their relationship is definitely complicated. Eve leaving Jackson standing at the alter on their wedding day started a chain reaction of events for both of them, both their lives have changed a lot in the last eight years. Neither have found someone new to love but Jackson hasn't been home since the day he left eight years ago. He's never forgiven Eve so coming home for his brother’s wedding is going to be tough for both of them, never mind that his brother Lincoln is marrying Eve's best friend Sadie so he'll be walking down the aisle with Eve on his arm. Is it possible for these two to forgive and find happiness with each other? I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This was a wonderful second chance romance. I was very interested in Eve and Jackson after reading the first book in this series (Lucky Cowboy) and their story did not disappoint. Eve left Jackson at the altar when she overheard a phone conversation he had, she knew he would go through with the wedding because they did love each other but that he would be giving up his dream. Jackson left town and hated and loved Eve for 8 years, when he came back for his brother’s wedding. Eve had a lot of bad stuff happen to her while she was in college and came home to heal and start her life without Jackson, even though she never stopped loving him. I loved that even though there was anger between them for what happened with their cancelled wedding there was also still love between them that they couldn’t fight. When a sense of deja vu happens, will Jackson and Eve repeat the past or can they fight for each other. I really enjoyed the end because they each look at their life and what they really need. This was a great book in the series and I can’t wait for the next.
