Description

The perfect wedding, or the right man?

I've dreamed of the perfect wedding since I was a little girl. My late mother and I had a scrapbook. Perfect dress, perfect outdoor setting, perfect cake. For years, all I needed was the right man. But now that my perfectly executed plans are put into motion, my fiance wants me to stop all the wedding preparations and run away with him. He claims I'm turning into a bridezilla and only vaguely resemble the woman he fell in love with.

Do I give up on the wedding I planned with my mother, or do I give up the wonderful man she never got to meet?

A novella for fans of Carolyn Brown, Lucy Score and Christina Lauren

THE RIGHT MAN by Heatherly Bell is a novella loosely connected to her THIS BABY BUSINESS and BREAKING EMILY’S RULES stories set in Fortune Valley, California. Retired military Trish Jackson and Jimmy Hopkins hit a few bumps on their road to happily ever after, but a last-minute favor to benefit Trish’s beloved grandparents might’ve just what they need to get them headed in the right direction. Jimmy and Trish have the benefit of loving and supportive families and friends to give them the nudge they need to straighten themselves out. Heatherly Bell’s story is sweet and Jimmy is a keeper!

I received a complimentary copy of this novella and I am voluntarily reviewing it. If you have a little time and need a quick break from the day, READ this! This is a charming story. Two people who truly love each other. Trish has been dreaming about her perfect wedding for years. She and her late mother would cut out pictures of the "perfect" dress and other of the million things that go into a wedding. Jimmy on the other hand just wants to be married to Trish. After a disagreement, an ultimatum was issued. Feelings were hurt and the two separated. Trish hasn't told her family. She goes to ask Jimmy for a favor. Could he go to her family's Thanksgiving? Then she will tell her family of the breakup. Can these two find their way back to each other? Can they find some common ground? Well you will have to read this for yourself. This is told in a dual POV format. Getting into both of the main characters' thoughts, really help me to better understand them and makes for a more enjoyable read for me.
