Description

A sexy single dad nanny standalone romance from USA Today bestselling author Piper Lawson.

He's a single dad and my new boss.

The man is scorching hot. His gorgeous smile and dark eyes turn me on like crazy.

Too bad he's ten years older, with trust issues and more layers than my psych degree could ever unwrap.

I need this job, and the roof over my head. Falling into bed with him is a bad idea. Letting my heart get involved would be even worse.

But he makes me feel things I never expected to feel...

She's my son's nanny, and a student at the university where I'm a professor.

Watching her play with my son, hearing her laugh across the hall, seeing her walk by with those legs that would look amazing over my shoulders is delicious torment.

I should know better than to pursue this attraction, no matter how intense.

I haven't wanted a woman since my wife died. But there's no future for me and the college senior who sleeps in the next bedroom.

I need to stay professional…but she's too tempting.

I can’t emphasize it enough how quick it is to fall in love with each and every one of these characters! Piper has outdone herself with this series! Don’t get me started on the beautiful basketball babes in the following series! Absolutely beautiful stories that will reel you in and have you feeling every emotion right along with her wonderful characters! I am so incredibly happy I came across her books! So excited to read the set of her collection!

Tempt is the 4th book in the Off Limit series, but can be read as a standalone. Nothing like a good single dad, age gap, forced proximity, nanny romance to keep the pages turning. This book gave me all the emotions. Moments of swooning, love, sexy, sassy banter, angst, but also loss, being scared, and letting your walls down. Kat and Daniel’s attraction was instant but they were also very different people. She was smart, sassy and showed Daniel a side of himself that he had lost. Even though, Kat had her walls up, she used her smile to hide her true self and Daniel was able to read her so well, and see her for who she really was. They helped each other in a time where they were just trying to make it through each day. Andy, was just the cutest little that stole the show. Loved it. Excellent read. I voluntarily reviewed a complementary copy of this book

Now, I hadn’t read the previous books in this series, but I didn’t feel like I had to to complete this book. Would it have helped? Maybe? But I don’t think so. You still get a good feel for the other characters mentioned in the book and the story flows nicely. Kat and Daniel had this chemistry from the beginning. Way beginning. Even before the living together nanny beginning. I enjoyed seeing how their back and for the feelings for each other grew. I especially loved Kat’s relationship with Andy. It was so sweet. This was a sweet book overall and a great series that I will definitely want to go back to read. I received this ARC through the publisher and I am voluntarily reviewing this book, opinions are my own.

Tempt is a standalone in the Off Limits World - It's not necessary to read Olivia and Sawyer's trilogy first but I feel it definitely helps to have the knowledge of the book world and characters. Daniel is a single dad to Andy, and a professor at the local university Russell U. Kat is a wild and full-of-life college student who has a connection with Daniel through their mutual friends Olivia and Sawyer. Finding herself losing a roommate unexpectedly Kat agrees to help Daniel with Andy. Once they are within close proximity of each other their attraction as well as Kat's kindness can't go on unnoticed. This was an easy and light read with some great spice. I always find myself loving the worlds and characters that Piper Lawson gives her readers.

Don’t stand so close to me… It’s such a no-no. Kat is 1). His nanny. 2). A college student at the college where he’s a professor. Yeah. That kind of temptation. In his house. Daniel is in deep. A dad to Andy, a professor who has control issues. He’s going the path of his buddy…ten years older and dating a student. Steamy. I liked how Kat got under Daniel’s skin. Recommend.

Working my way through Piper’s list of books, so I was not familiar with these characters, but I fell head over heals for them!!! Daniel is a single dad, struggling just to get through the day with his son Andy after his wife passes away. Kat is a college student, whose friends all moved out of their apartment during their senior year. Daniel met Kat at a club one night and was instantly attracted but never did anything thinking she was not only too young but also a student at the college he teaches at. Fate has funny way of intervening though when Daniel runs into Kat with Daniel. Andy is ‘smitten’ with Kat just like his dad. Ultimately she becomes his nanny and living in the same house poses some tough days for two adults with an unbelievable attraction. I did not find this story to be your typical story single dad falls for the nanny, older man/younger woman. Piper wrote a great story and now Im excited to go back to read the other characters books!
  • Very enjoyable book

For a "forbidden" trope such as nanny/boss, Tempt was much more fun and laid back that most books I've read with similar themes. I found the connection between Kat and Daniel very lighthearted, which I enjoyed very much. Kat is young, ten years younger than Daniel, but I didn't find her immature nor him to be overly stuffy. He's only in his early 30's, though he is a professor, which often brings its own brand of stuffiness to a story. I also adored Kat's interactions and connections with Andy, Daniel's son. He's not used as a prop and she is extremely protective of the motherless child. That right there won her major extra points from me. I also liked that there were a few minor points of contention along the way, instead of one big conflict near the end. Stuff happens in life, and I think the author did a great job portraying that. I've only read one other Off Limits book but had no trouble enjoying this one in spite of that. I definitely think Tempt can be read as a stand-alone book. But I will be going back to read the one I missed. I enjoyed and recommend Kat and Daniel's story.
