Description

#1 New York Times bestselling author Iris Johansen explores the darkest corners of the human heart as forensic sculptor Eve Duncan closes in on the killer who stole her daughter so many years ago.

As a former Navy SEAL turned cop, Joe Quinn has seen the face of evil and knows just how deadly it can be. When he first met Eve Duncan, he never expected to fall in love with a woman whose life would be defined by her dual desires to bring home her missing daughter and discover the truth behind her disappearance---no matter how devastating. With the help of CIA agent Catherine Ling, they make a shocking discovery that sheds new light on young Bonnie's abduction and puts Quinn squarely in the crosshairs of danger. Eve's first love, John Gallo, a soldier supposedly killed in the line of duty, is very much alive---and very much a threat.

Emotionally charged, with one shock after another, Quinn reveals the electricity of Joe and Eve's first connection, and how they fell in love in the midst of haunting tragedy. As their search takes them deeper and deeper into a web of murder and madness, Joe and Eve must confront their most primal fears . . . and test their resolve to uncover the ultimate bone-chilling truth.

If you tire through the last two books like I did, trying to finally find resolution to who killed Bonnie, you will be disappointed. Even books in a series should give you something. Nothing there folks, move along.

So I read EVE and thought that was great and then I read QUINN and I was in awe up to the very end. First let me start off by saying that I love the writing style that Iris Johansen does. Just when you think it's the end you see that it's really the beginning. I love how so far in EVE and QUINN it leads you into their back stories which I have wanted to know about since I first read, "The face of Deception". Taking the time to allow us to get more information on Eves life and the leading up to her daughter in a way is bringing me closure. This trilogy here is the reason why I became such a fan of Iris Johansen and her character Eve Duncan. I feel as though I have lost Bonnie too and I am anticipating the finale in the last book BONNIE. I surely recommend the Eve Duncan books!

The only reason this has four stars instead of five is the cliff hanger ending! So frustrating for me, but very successful in getting me to buy "Bonnie"

It has been a long time since I have not been able to put a book down until the very end! This is the best book I've read in along time along with Eve! I can not wait to start reading Bonnie see how this all plays out. Awesome books!

The tension between Catherine andQuall was what kept me reading. will, they? The story was more about them than Quinn. Glad I bought the book. Johansen never disappoints. Raku Gal

Book was ok, bad ending...leaves you hanging, but not with anticipation for the final in this trilogy, but frustrating that the ending was as if a chapter was left out. Sad, as I have read all of the Eve Duncan series...sigh. Will wait for Bonnie and hope for real closure.

Last page had no conclusion... Left me hanging with no hint where to go. Book unfinished. Stupid.
