Description

Nearly everything we do in life is the result of our habits. The good ones bring peace, joy and power into our lives, and the bad ones steal our peace and joy and prevent our success.

In this book, Joyce Meyer explains how to develop good habits -- the things you really want to do -- and break the bad ones, putting an end to frustration, discouragement and stress that drains your energy.

The most important habit comes first: the God habit. Next comes a willingness to work for the results you want. Joyce reminds us that, "if we don't pay the price for freedom, we will end up paying the price for bondage". Next comes the power of our words. Our words and the thoughts that propel them have tremendous power over our actions, and repeated actions are the basis of our habits.

There are eleven more habits that Joyce discusses in depth, including the habits of happiness, faith, excellence, responsibility, generosity, discipline, decisiveness and confidence.

"Choose one area and begin," she urges. "Don't feel overwhelmed by all the changes that are needed. One thing at a time, one day at a time is the best plan. Celebrate every day of success, and when you make mistakes, shake off the disappointment and keep going forward."

You can transform your life, one habit at a time.

It is a must-read book! It is unbelievable that there is so much to learn and want to do right now because that is God’s will for me to have good habits to help me to realize how important it is for me to be courageous to break three bad habits to start with. Her book helps you to want to go back and read it again to see where you want to improve.

If you actually investigated who Joyce Meyer was, you would know she was a Christian, so why buy the book and complain about the Bible scriptures she used? Hello? Common Sense Dear!

Who is the fool that gave this one star, and called it religious dribble. Why bring Christianity into this? Is that what you ask? Well, obviously you do not know that all of Joyce's books are based on the best book, the Holy Bible. Duh. The best thing you do to help anyone in this life, is write a book, and use Gods word to confirm your teachings! Thank you once again Joyce!

I'd love a book that could help me with my bad habits WITHOUT all the bible verses. We aren't all Christians! Why bring religion into this? It renders all she says in the book into some pseudo science self help.

I can't believe how one book can help me in so many ways. You inspired and motivated me. Procrastination that was me, until I read that chapter. The next day I organized my paperwork that needed to be filed or shredded that I put off for four years! I did not no that gluttony was a sin, that opened my eyes and I started working out at the gym. I love this book and will read it again. I can' thank you enough, this book has been a real blessing!
