Description

A steamy friends to lovers romance that breaks the bro-code…big time! Gio is blessed with a big family and lots of friends. Unfortunately, there’s an unspoken code amongst his buddies…one where sisters are off-limits. That wouldn’t be a problem if he and his best friend, Rafe, could stop thinking about Kayden’s vivacious, fun-loving little sister, Keeley. They have always been stand-up guys, but Keeley is so tempting, so sexy, that they’re in danger of breaking all the rules.
Keeley’s not exactly batting a thousand when it comes to life. She just lost her job and her only true talent seems to be picking the worst guys on the planet from online dating sites. However, her uneventful life takes a turn for the steamy after Rafe hires her to work for him and he and Gio start crashing all her bad dates.
When one kiss lead to a second and then to something much, much more, the lovers are left to decide if they’re engaging in a fun fling or embarking on forever.

So hot! And as always, Mari Carr hits hard with those emotions! Rough and Ready is the third in her incredible Italian Stallions series, and is a seriously sexy older brother’s best friends, friends to lovers ménage. Each story in the series is full of the sheer physical and emotional joy of falling in love, and Rough and Ready is no exception. Rafe and Gio have been best friends since childhood, and Keeley’s older brother Kayden is another of their closest friends. What starts out as them keeping a friendly eye on Keeley on a string of bad first dates morphs into a revelation of deeper feelings on all their parts. Mari Carr’s characters are real and so well written, and each story is brimming over with not only the passion of the new relationship but also with the warm sense of friendship and community that encompasses their lives. Not to be missed!

Brother's best friend...times two! That's what Keeley gets when she starts working for one of her brother Kayden's best friends. And he idea to turn his newly inherited, run-down mansion brings the other bff, Gio into the mix as well. While both men have always seen her as just Kayden's baby sister, sparks fly when they are all in close proximity. Which is now constantly. While other friends and family members are living threesome relationships, there's a lot at stake for Keeley and the guys, especially since Gio can see them lasting forever and Rafe is closed off to anything other than a fling. Keeley can see herself falling for them both, but what happens if Rafe walks away instead. I loved everything about this story. From the differences in Gio and Rafe's personalities to their caring of each other's feelings as well as Keeley's. Each character brings something different to the relationship, with an added surprise of a different side of Rafe that even Gio has never seen before. And the added fun of possible ghosts haunting the old house was a fun twist as well. Although this is part of a The Italian Stallion series, it can be read alone. But readers like me who have been around since book one, we get to see characters from the previous books pop by for a visit. And what's always a plus. Mari Carr is one of my must read, favorite authors for a reason...and she proves it again with this book.
