    This book was ok….. Buck is a great character but I think killing off the team especially Rookie was a poor plot line. Rookie represents every Halo player and so instead of killings him off they should have had him also become a Spartan as this would have left that option open for every player to be a Spartan for the future. The betrayal of Mickey just left a bad taste and again was an unnecessary plot item. Let the team fade away to other duties would have been better. Anyways the book was ok

    The story of our favorite ODST squad and they adapted to that post-war environment with a bit of romance on the side.

    The story was really gripping even though it was sidetracked a bit. I like the twists and the lore included in the book. Not the best halo novel, but worth reading.

    Halo: New Blood is a thrilling read that sometimes forgets that mostly fans of the video game series will be reading this. Whether it be filling chapters with a "Halo ODST" summary or going through examining what certain enemies were like a Wikipedia page. Even though that may be a bit annoying it still manages to give closure and hope for your favorite characters from the ODST. I recommend this to any Halo fan who wants to have a good amount of laughs and maybe even a few tears.
