Description

“One of the best thrillers I have read this year. The plot is intelligent and will keep you hooked from the beginning. The author did a superb job creating a set of characters who are fully developed and very much enjoyable. I can hardly wait for the sequel.”
--Books and Movie Reviews, Roberto Mattos (re Any Means Necessary)

PRESIDENT ELECT is book #5 in the bestselling Luke Stone thriller series, which begins with ANY MEANS NECESSARY (book #1)!

When China threatens to bankrupt the U.S. by calling in its debt, Americans are desperate for radical change. President Susan Hopkins, running for re-election, is floored as she watches the returns come in. Her rival—a madman senator from West Virginia who ran on the promise to nuke China’s islands out of the South China Sea—has, inconceivably, won.

President Hopkins, though, knows she cannot yield power. To do so would be to spark World War III. She needs to prove the election was stolen, and to stop the looming war with China. With no one left to turn to, she summons Luke Stone, the former head of an elite FBI para-military team. The stakes could not be higher as she commands him to save America from its greatest threat: its own President Elect.

Yet as one shocking twist follows another, it may, even for Luke Stone, be too late.

A political thriller with non-stop action, dramatic international settings and heart-pounding suspense, PRESIDENT ELECT is book #5 in the bestselling and critically-acclaimed Luke Stone series, an explosive new series that will leave you turning pages late into the night.

“Thriller writing at its best. Thriller enthusiasts who relish the precise execution of an international thriller, but who seek the psychological depth and believability of a protagonist who simultaneously fields professional and personal life challenges, will find this a gripping story that's hard to put down.”
--Midwest Book Review, Diane Donovan (regarding Any Means Necessary)

Book #6 in the Luke Stone series—OUR SACRED HONOR—is now also available.

I’ve read the other books in the series, but this one is a giant step backward. So much political bias, I found the book unreadable. If I wanted someone’s not so subtle political opinion, id watch Fox News or CNN. I barely got through the first few chapters. Don’t waste your time with this one.

Jack Mars has jumped the shark. I read books as an escape. This series has turned into just another outlet for woke narrative nonsense. I got enough of that already, thanks. The Luke Stone series have always been filler. Predictable and generic, but somewhat entertaining while u wait for releases of better books from better authors. But it’s not nearly good enough to stomach all this trash.

Liked this series until politics showed up! Tried to make conservatives out to be the bad guys, by having them doing what the liberals did in the last election. And of course conservatives are racist, when in reality liberals judge everyone by their race.
  • Could not stop reading. Kept you wondering how it’s going to end for several people.

I absolutely love every book Jack Mars has put out. The zero series, stone, and the stone prequels. Reviewers said they were turned off by the blatant political nonsense but I honestly didn't see any or much of that at all. Yes, the proofreading could be better. But you paid $5 for this book, get over it. I'm in love with Mars' books. I've never bought a book before and I'm usually super stingy when it comes to buying books because there are just so many free ones out there. But I don't even hesitate anymore when I buy these. Worth every penny.

Someone tries to kill the president and take over. Oh, and almost nuclear war again. I liked the characters but no originality here, so I’m done.

My major problem was not with the quality of the writing or the excellent storyline, but the poor proofreading. Grammatical errors and poor spell checking were quite distracting.

Excellent read! Excellent read, as always. I like the relationship that is beginning to form between Luke and Susan. I actually appreciate the characters in this book, particularly Jerry the shark, and Ezekiel. Ed is also behaving differently, more maturely. I like it. Jack never disappoints. Keep up the good work!😄 Morton Rowling - author
