Love the Southern Ghost Hunters series & & Dog Gone Ghost does not disappoint. I am such a fan of Verity, Frankie, & the rest of the gang & this story is even better because it focuses on dogs! My only complaint of Dog Gone Ghost is that its too short. Book provided by the author & I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy

Angie Fox managed to put enough of an emotional punch in this short story for an entire novel. She is a great author and I can't recommend her enough! Can't wait for the next adventure with Verity and Frankie. Hopefully Lucy will start getting comfortable with Frankie soon!

In Dog Gone Ghost Angie Fox delivers another delightful short story in her Southern Ghost Hunters series. Verity Long is back with her precious pet skunk, Lucy, and long deceased gangster side-kick, Frankie, to help a family heal and begin to move forward. Tackling a sensitive subject, Fox brings a calming sense of closure to senseless things that forever changed a heartbroken couple. This sweet tale offers lovely possibilities in the face of unspeakable loss. Verity and company are becoming old friends, and Fox never disappoints to give her readers a well written, thought provoking read that's entertaining, at the same time. It's also nice that we get more character history snippets, bringing us a little farther into Verity's world. Having dealt with a devastating loss quite recently, because of the well crafted story, the human aspect, or the way the story deals with profound loss, this may be my favorite of this series. It's a perfect bite-sized read when you need an hour of 'me' time.

Let me start by saying how much I enjoyed this novella. It fit in perfectly with the other stories in the Southern Ghost Hunter Mysteries Series. The main character Verily is trying to get her pet Lucy to walk on a leash but is in need of some assistance. Perfect timing issues when a lady from the local pet sanctuary asks for her help. In order for her to provide her help she has to convince her partner in crime Frankie to help her. That night they go to visit the pet sanctuary to see if they can stop the ghost nuisance. In the process of solving the hart tugging mystery Verily and Frankie have an amazing adventure and help a family find peace.
